The output of Shandong, the first major gold-producing province, was limited, and China's gold production in the first three quarters fell by nearly 10% year-on-year

According to the latest statistics released by the China Gold Council, in the first three quarters of 2021, the domestic raw material gold production was 236.75 tons, a decrease of 26.18 tons compared with the same period in 2020, down 9.96% year-on-year, of which gold mineral gold completed 193.61 tons, and non-ferrous by-product gold completed 43.14 tons. In addition, in the first three quarters of 2021, the imported raw materials produced 78.73 tons, up 5.56% year-on-year, and if this part of the imported raw materials produced gold, the country produced a total of 315.48 tons of gold, down 6.53% year-on-year.

It is understood that shandong, as the first gold-producing province, non-coal mines in the province have stopped production for safety inspections since February this year, comprehensively checking safety hazards and implementing rectification measures, which has temporarily affected the province's gold production. At the same time, in the context of the country's construction of a "double cycle" development pattern, large gold enterprises (groups) give full play to the advantages of overseas high-quality mine resources, and strive to increase production, in the first three quarters, Zijin Mining, Shandong Gold, Chifeng Gold and Lingbao Shares and other enterprises overseas mines achieved mineral gold output of 26.90 tons, up 30.64% year-on-year. In order to actively respond to the national "double carbon" strategy, China Gold, Zijin Mining, Shandong Gold and Shandong Zhaojin will also consider climate change risks and opportunities in their corporate development strategies and practice the concept of green development under the premise of following the principle of responsible gold mining.
