After talking about the winter era of Japanese TRPG, the author intends to start writing a biography of the Japanese TRPG industry, which is mainly to tell the story of some of the more famous people or some more interesting people in the Japanese TRPG industry, and I hope that everyone can better understand the charm and historical evolution of the Japanese TRPG. So, who are the people we need to talk about first?
For his name, the author subjectively guesses that most people who read this article should be people who have no or little contact with Japanese TRPG, so it looks very strange at first glance. But it is no exaggeration to say that he is one of the men who has shown many possibilities for the Japanese TRPG, and one of the people who have to mention the Japanese TRPG is Kikuchi.

To put it simply, he is a founding member of the Japanese company F.E.A.R., and now holds the position of Vice President. As mentioned in the previous article, F.E.A.R. is a company that has published several works representing the recovery of the Japanese TRPG industry. So what happened to this Kikuchi? What did he bring to the Japanese TRPG?
<h4>Ignite the flame of dreams</h4>
Kikuchi was a teenager who was addicted to wargames when he was a student, and at that time Japan was in the midst of a wargame craze, and the young man was of course following the trend and enjoyed playing games with his friends. However, after he and his friends saw the running game record "Seven つつの祭壇" published in the 1985 wargame magazine "シミュレード" published in the new No. 1 of the wargame magazine "ㄛトード", he received a strong spiritual shock, and this new thing aroused his strong interest. As if opening the door to a new world, he began to take a keen interest in TRPG's running group game records after that time. ("ローズ・トゥ・ロード" or "Roads to Lord", introduced in the first article on this topic, is the first TRPG in Japan to be original and published in Japan))

At that time, there was a voice actor in Japan named Shuichi Ikeda, who was the brother of Kikuchi, and was a senior from the same alma mater high school. Kikuchi became a huge fan of Kikuchi after watching Mr. Ikeda's Mobile Suit Gundam episode of "Mobile Suit Gundam", and a little dream came up in his young mind: "Ah, I want Mr. Ikeda to speak animated lines to star in the game I wrote~"Perhaps, to many people, kikuchi's idea of たけし seems ridiculous, and what can a teenager who is nothing have the patience to do it? Even the voice actor of the high school brother will easily agree to you? However, the protagonist we are going to talk about today is not a "vegetarian" person, he is not a utopian but an action faction. And, if you don't try it, how do you know it's impossible? After seeing the running group game record, the flame of his dream had been ignited. As for this little dream, he did do it later, of course, this is already an afterthought, we will talk about it later in the article.
After that, Kikuchi submitted reports on wargames and TRPG in various game magazines in order to move toward his goal. At the time of the report, it was submitted in the name of the game group [サークルゆど~ふ] (later [スタジオ世館]), Kikuchi たけし was in charge of writing articles, and Suzuki was in charge of illustration, and they began their activities in this form and stepped into the gates of the Japanese TRPG community. The original game record report was serialized in the wargame "Universe 戦ヤマト" serialized in シミュュマー (new), and the more classic scene was during the fleet war when the game was at its climax, because the mother downstairs said "たけしー, eat" and the universe was restored to peace. Kikuchi also slowly began to develop his unique style of personal humor when writing game records.

By writing about the TRPG circle in a comical and funny way in the magazine RPG マガジン, Kikuchi and his friends gathered a certain amount of popularity. Heaven rewards hard work, thick accumulation, and finally let him successfully survive. In the first half of the 1990s, the TRPG "セブン=フォートレスス(seven fortress)," which was also serialized in this magazine, gained a lot of popularity, and this game record with a distinct and gorgeous manga and light novel style captured the attention of many people. "I know that I can go in and out, and once I change, I will become a dragon." This game record made Kikuchi become a Kanban writer, and the name Kikuchi began to be remembered by more people, from the ignorant teenager of that year to being able to set off a lot of storms in the Japanese TRPG industry. However, in fact, at this time, the game system of "セブン= フォートレス" was not completed, and the data was made during the game conference or the submission of readers was adopted, so there was a sense of liveness that completed the game creation with the readers and was well received at the same time, so the "砦" series of game records that relied on the popularity was also continued.
However, in the course of the series, the running group game record フアルの氷砦, which was serialized in ォーチューンの海砦, caused half of the players to leave the team to replace other players in the middle of the series due to interpersonal disputes between the members, which was a completely unprecedented situation before, and the relationship between Kikuchi and Suzuki was also broken. After that, Kikuchi began to work alone, writing articles in collaboration with other illustrators. The world is full of feasts, and former teammates have parted ways.
There is a saying called "the Tao is different, not conspiring", and in contrast, there is also a word called like-mindedness. In 1993, the F.E.A.R. Society was established, with Kikuchi as one of its founders. At the time of its founding, there were ten members, namely Nakajima Seiichiro (鈴 blowing Taro), Kikuchi たけし, Yamamoto Tsuyoshi, Fushimi Kenji, Kenmei Kenbe, Yamabei Tsuyoshi, Takahira Tsuneyoshi, Fujiami Tomoyuki (わきあかつぐみ), Hosoe ひろみ. But later, except for Nakajima and Kikuchi, everyone else withdrew from the society, leaving only these two old acquaintances to stick to it, of course, and the others who joined later were an afterthought. At the same time, the demand for TRPG readers in magazines in other fields to participate in the planning page has also decreased significantly, and kikuchi's opportunities to appear in the media are decreasing. In the late Winter Period, Kikuchi's resident magazine RPG マガジン gradually transformed into a special magazine for Magic cards, which was later transformed into Magic's special magazine ゲームぎゃざ. After that, Kikuchi transferred the serialization of game records to F.E.A.R.'s specialized game support magazine ゲーマーズ・フィールド, and began writing about the third game of "Seven Fortress", "リーンの闇砦" and later works. Kikuchi did not flinch from the winter, however, and Kikuchi was still active as an arrow as a staff member of F.E.A.R., as well as a script for consumer games and as a reader of E-LOGIN magazine.
