According to Iranian state television, on November 21, local time, the head of the public relations department of Mahan Airlines said in a statement that the company's computer system suffered a network attack on the same day. The company's cybersecurity working group then acted in a timely manner, and these cyberattacks have been thwarted.

The statement said that all the company's flights are currently operating as usual, and future flights will also be carried out according to the previous schedule, "if there is a change in flight time, the company will notify passengers in advance."

At present, the official website of Mahan Air is still inaccessible.

Mahan Air is Iran's second largest airline and a relatively young airline in Iran's domestic aircraft fleet, operating a number of Iranian domestic and international routes. Since 2011, the company has been blacklisted by the United States for sanctions. (Reporter Lei Xiangping)
