Beijing, 19 Nov (Guangming Daily) -- Wang Chen, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and president of the China Law Society, presided over a special meeting of the presidents of the China Law Society on 19 November to study and implement the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee. He stressed that it is necessary to deeply study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech and the spirit of the plenary session, draw confidence and motivation from the major achievements and historical experience of the party's century-long struggle, strive to give play to the positive role of the vast number of legal workers on the new road to catch up with the examination, and contribute to the realization of the second centenary goal.

Wang Chen pointed out that the "Resolution of the CPC Central Committee on the Major Achievements and Historical Experience of the Party's Century-Long Struggle" adopted by the plenary session is a political declaration and action guide for Chinese communists in the new era to keep firmly in mind their original mission and uphold and develop socialism with Chinese characteristics. The party has established the core position of Comrade Xi Jinping's Party Central Committee and the core of the whole Party, and established the guiding position of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, reflecting the common aspirations of the whole Party, the whole army, and the people of all ethnic groups in the country. The "two establishments" are the most important political achievements of the "Resolution" and the fundamental guarantee for comprehensively building a socialist modern power. The "Resolution" deeply summarizes the achievements and experiences of the rule of law construction in the past hundred years since the founding of the party, and provides guidelines for promoting the comprehensive rule of law in the new era.

Wang Chen stressed that studying, publicizing, and implementing the spirit of the plenary session is a major political task at present and for a period in the future, and it is necessary to guide the vast number of legal scholars and legal workers to unite more closely around the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core, consciously use Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, especially Xi Jinping Thought on the Rule of Law, to guide legal research and rule of law practice, to show new responsibilities and new deeds in the new journey of building a rule of law China, and to greet the 20th National Congress of the Party with excellent results.
