In recent years, many stars have married models, and several of them are football wives who are high-ranking players in beauty contests. The Daily Star took stock of six players who had married to the title of winner of the beauty pageant.
Arsenal coach Arteta's wife is Argentine-Spanish mixed-race host and model Lorena Bernal. Lorena won miss Spain in 1999 at the age of 17. She then represented Spain in the Miss World contest and reached the finals. Lorena and Arteta are fellow countrymen, married in 2010 and have three children.

During an advertising shoot for a sports brand, former Arsenal midfielder Rossiki met fellow beauty and runner-up winner of Miss Czech Republic Radka Kokulova. Kokulova also participated in the Miss Europe pageant in 2002, and her modeling career continued until 2011. After 11 years of long-distance love, Rosicki and Kokulova married in 2014.
In the 1990s and early 2000s, the handsome Costacuta, together with Maldini and Baresi, built a strong defensive fortress for AC Milan. His wife, Martina Columbari, also made her a big deal, becoming the youngest Miss Italy winner ever in 1991 at the age of 16. Martina and Costa Kuta married in 2004, and although Martina is a Juve fan, the two are still happy to this day.
Legendary goalkeeper Buffon met Czech model Alena Seredova in 2005. Seredova was the winner of the 1998 Miss Czech Republic and the fourth place winner of the Miss World Finals. The two married in 2011 and have two sons, but divorced in 2014.
