According to Nandu's previous report, at about 20:00 on May 7 this year, three juvenile golden leopards of Hangzhou Wildlife World fled. On May 8, two of the golden leopards were recovered. On the same day, Hangzhou Wildlife World apologized, saying that the previously undisclosed news of the golden leopard's escape was for fear of causing panic, and the juvenile golden leopard was not aggressive, which caused a public uproar. On May 10, the Fuyang Branch of the Hangzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau filed a case against the suspected criminals of relevant personnel in accordance with the law, and Zhang Dequan, the legal representative and general manager of Hangzhou Wildlife World Co., Ltd., and five other people took criminal compulsory measures.
On May 8, the Fuyang District Government Information Office reported that it ordered Hangzhou Wildlife World to immediately close the park, suspend business for rectification, and control the main responsible persons of Wildlife World. On the evening of the 8th, the Fuyang District Agricultural and Rural Bureau, the District Emergency Management Bureau and other departments organized technical personnel to inspect the park, published a list of problems and rectification, and ordered rectification within a time limit.
Nandu reporters have visited the Hangzhou Wildlife World in the storm, and after the incident, the park was closed for renovation, and a cordon was pulled up outside the entrance of the parking lot. Hangzhou Wildlife World has been a local A-class taxpayer for five consecutive years. According to the Fuyang District Cultural and Guangdong Tourism and Sports Bureau, this year's May Day holiday, Hangzhou Wildlife World passenger flow of 97,700 person-times, attracting many parent-child families to come, according to the park ticket price rough estimate, its May Day holiday revenue this year is more than 10 million.
Six months later, on November 19, the Fuyang District Court pronounced a verdict on the senior management of Hangzhou Wildlife World Co., Ltd. and the six breeders involved, and sentenced them to fixed-term imprisonment ranging from two years to one year and two months for the crime of major liability accidents, and pronounced a suspended sentence.
