In order to tell the story of Fujian's industrial enrichment and spread the voice of rural revitalization in Fujian, under the guidance of the Fujian General Station of the Central Radio and Television Station and the Fujian Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the Fujian Channel of the Central Broadcasting Network launched a series of reports on "Rural Revitalization to See the Stories of Industrial Enrichment in Fujian | Characteristic Towns" from November 16 after two months of field research and interviews.

Grilled meat, flat meat, pot stickers, taro dumplings, hi-kong, tofu balls... This is a recipe that is familiar to the Chinese people, and it originated in Shaxian District, Sanming City, Fujian Province.
"Flat meat is bricks, mixed noodles are steel bars", in the eyes of Shaxian people, snacks have built high-rise buildings in Shaxian County; and in the city well lanes in the north and south of the river, Shaxian snacks are the most popular "national cuisine".
Xiamao Town is located in the northwest of Shaxian District, known as "a thousand-year-old town, the general's hometown, a snack source township, a Buddhist resort", is a provincial-level commercial and trade town, a national key town, and was selected as a key characteristic township (town) for rural revitalization in 2019.
Since the 1990s, as the birthplace of Snacks in Shaxian County, Xia Mao Town has been prosperous for snacks and has also become famous for snacks.
The epitome of a village revitalization

Just after the National Day, Yubang Village, XiaMao Town, the "First Village of Snacks in Shaxian County", is full of tourists and is particularly lively. In the village's "Root-seeking" food street, the villagers who opened shops are busy making special snacks such as taro dumplings, sweet roasted wheat, tofu balls, and general rice grits, and tourists buy and taste in groups.
According to statistics, this year's "May Day" holiday, the number of tourists in Xiamao Town reached more than 10,000 per day. Nowadays, Shaxian snacks have become a local rich industry.
Yu Hechuan, a 69-year-old villager in Yubang Village, who has been running a snack bar outside for more than 20 years, handed over the snack bar in Tianjin to his son to take care of, and the couple returned to the village to open a shop.
"In the past, Yubang Village was very small, but now it has developed, started a beautiful village, and has become the 'first village of snacks in Shaxian County', and everyone's life is becoming more and more stable and rich." Yu Hechuan said happily.
Now, Yu Hechuan's most simple wish is to hang the big bone soup every morning, use authentic, fresh ingredients to cook a variety of snacks, let the guests eat well, and make the brand of Shaxian snacks louder.

In recent years, Yubang Village has become a well-known Internet celebrity punch card, with an increasing number of tourists and a diversified tourism industry. Tourists come here not only to taste food, visit the folk culture center, but also with the beautiful countryside built, to achieve summer lotus play, autumn to feel the golden rice fields endless... On this basis, special tourism such as rural experience tours and student education summer camps has gradually taken shape.
Cao Chenggan, a villager in Yubang Village, is the head of Sanmingyou Chenglong Tourism Development Co., Ltd., and he is currently landscaping the village and planting 20 acres of chrysanthemums and snapdragons. In June 2019, Cao Chenggan returned to the village to explore the creation of rural tourism, not only hosting the tent festival, but also expanding water surfing, barbecue, camping, picking, rice research and other projects.
Cao Chenggan estimates that there are about 200,000 tourists to the village this year, in his view, Yubang Village is surrounded by mountains and rivers, unique resources, and the development of tourism industry is very promising. Recall that he went out to open a snack bar in 1998, when most of the villagers took their families with their mouths to seek development, and now, he is most looking forward to the improvement of tourism projects and models as soon as possible, so that villagers can find employment at the doorstep of their homes.
Snack food, big industry
The shaxian snack making technique, which was selected into the list of representative projects of national intangible cultural heritage, flourished in the Tang and Song dynasties.
In the early 1990s, thousands of people in XiaMao town went to the country to make a living from snacks. The civilian price of "one yuan into the store, two yuan to eat, and five yuan to eat well" catered to the needs of urban migrant workers, and Shaxian snacks quickly "fired" all over the country.
Today, Shaxian snacks are spread across 62 countries and regions around the world, with more than 88,000 stores nationwide, with an annual turnover of more than 50 billion yuan, driving 300,000 people to become rich.
From "a flat shoulder to break the world", to stores sweeping the world, to villagers returning to their hometowns to start a business and get rich together, Yu Guangqing, a villager in Yubang Village who is the chairman of Shaxian Yixin Agricultural Professional Cooperative, is one of the leaders.
As early as the 1980s, Yu Guangqing was the first "10,000 yuan household" in the village. In the early 1990s, the first batch of snack bar owners followed him out of Yubang Village to Fuzhou and Nanping in Fujian Province to make a living with snacks. Later, he chose to return to his hometown to lead the development of modern agriculture, and won the titles of "National Grain Grower" and provincial leader of getting rich.
For Yu Guangqing, driving everyone to be rich is the real wealth. Yu Guangqing recalled that at first, the villagers went from carrying flat shoulders to selling snacks, and slowly developed into small workshops and mom-and-pop shops, and the first batch of Shaxian people who went out made money and returned to their hometowns to build buildings.
However, with the great development of the snack industry, Xiamao Town has seen the phenomenon of rural labor transfer and idle cultivated land. In order to revitalize land resources, Yu Guangqing joined hands with party members and farmers to form the Yixin Agricultural Professional Cooperative in Shaxian County in 2008, began to do large-scale tobacco and rice planting and seed production, and actively cultivated a new type of professional farmers who "understand agriculture, love the countryside, and love farmers", and have been doing it for more than ten years.

Today, the land of Xia Mao Town is full of great vitality. In Xijie Village, Xiamao Town, the core display of new varieties of high-quality rice at the national and provincial levels with an area of 200 acres is fragrant with rice flowers, showing 215 high-quality rice varieties. This year, the cooperative planted more than 2,000 mu of tobacco rice rotation and more than 600 mu of rice seeds, with an annual output value of 7 million yuan. The cooperative's agricultural production has been mechanized throughout the whole process, and the annual per capita income of 154 members has reached more than 60,000 yuan.
With the growth of the snack industry in Shaxian County, Yu Guangqing found business opportunities again, he began to get involved in the cultivation of snack ingredients raw materials and agricultural products, Chinese herbal medicine, spice planting and poultry breeding have been set up on a large scale, he also intends to extend the industrial chain, the development of grain processing and packaging.
In Ruyuan Village, Xiamao Town, more than 800 acres of betel nut taro and red bud taro green leaves gradually faded, and gradually matured, Yu Guangqing is waiting for the opportunity to harvest and supply snack production. He hoped to continue to drive farmers to become rich and promote the development of the seed industry.

The development of tertiary industries is integrated
In order to take good care of the regional brand of Shaxian snacks, Shaxian District began to fully promote the standardization, chaining, industrialization and transformation and upgrading of the snack industry.
In Xiamao Town, around the upstream and downstream supporting of Shaxian snacks, the town gives full play to the resource advantages of "Shaxian Snack Source Township", enlarges the township economy, explores and forms the "Xiamao Model" of industrial revitalization: do a good job in the "snack +" industrial article, strengthen the tobacco rice base, snack base and tea base, and promote the integrated development of one, two and three industries.
Xiamao Town is an important agricultural town and a large tobacco town, and currently plants more than 20,000 mu of high-quality rice and super rice, 7,000 mu of tobacco leaves, and 8,000 mu of seeds every year. Xia Mao red edge tea, flower naphthalene, winter wine and other agricultural products won the National Geographical Indication.

In order to escort the snacks, tobacco and other industries in Xiamao Town, PICC Property & Casualty Shaxian Branch responded to the policy and provided about 3.5 million yuan of guarantees for snack owners in Yubang Village. Since 2019, the company has underwritten tobacco insurance in Shaxian County for three consecutive years, with an annual tobacco insurance coverage area of 7920 mu, bringing about 9.2 million guarantees to tobacco farmers, of which Xia Mao Town has benefited a lot.
Taking advantage of the abundant resources of agricultural products, XiaMao Town actively introduces snack ingredients and food cold chain processing projects to improve the upstream and downstream industrial chain of Snacks in Shaxian County.
Shaxian Maoxi Food Co., Ltd., located in the Zhuowushan Industrial Zone of Xiamao Town, produces 4 tons of steamed dumplings per day, driving more than 100 villagers to work. Hong Huagan, head of the company, said that the next step will be to build a snack raw material production base in conjunction with Xiamao Town, seek cooperation with the local area, and drive the masses to increase their income and become rich.

Zhu Chenyan, mayor of Xiamao Town, said that the town will take Shaxian snacks as the leading role and promote the construction of snack raw material planting bases in the primary industry; develop the snack raw materials and food processing industry in the second industry; and explore the development of "red + snacks + health care" rural tourism in the tertiary industry.
At the same time, in accordance with the development plan of the transformation and upgrading of the snack industry in Shaxian District, Xiamao Town actively promotes the construction and promotion of Snack Franchise Stores in Shaxian County, so that more people can engage in the rich people's industry of Shaxian Snacks.
According to reports, from the 1990s to the present, the per capita annual income of farmers in Xiamao Town has risen from less than 1,000 yuan to nearly 10,000 yuan. In 2020, Xiamao Town achieved a total output value of 800 million yuan in agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery, an increase of 7.1%, and the per capita disposable income of farmers was 22,860 yuan, an increase of 7%.
