According to the latest forecast of the Provincial Meteorological Observatory, from tomorrow onwards, due to the influence of strong cold air, there will be a cold wave weather process in our province, of which parts south of the Huai River will have a strong cold wave.
It is expected that the cooling of this weather process will be colder than the cold wave process at the beginning of the month. On the 21st and 22nd, the province had a northerly wind of 4 and a gust of 7 to 8; the minimum temperature in Huaibei dropped by 10 to 12 °C, south of the Huai River by 12 to 14 °C; after the cold air, the minimum temperature on the morning of the 23rd was about 0 °C in the area along the river, and -4 °C to -2 °C in other areas.
The emergency response order requires that the member units of the Meteorological Service Work Leading Group of the Provincial Meteorological Bureau, the Meteorological Bureaus of various cities, and the Meteorological Management Offices of Huangshan and Jiuhuashan immediately enter the four-level emergency response state. All units should do a good job in accordance with the meteorological disaster emergency response workflow, focusing on the adverse impact of strong cooling, high winds, frost and other weather on agricultural production, transportation, energy supply, outdoor operations, public health, etc., strengthen departmental consultation linkage and information notification, effectively do a good job in meteorological protection services, and timely report the response to the provincial bureau.
At 16:30 this afternoon, the provincial meteorological station also issued a blue warning of cold tide. The early warning reminds the government and relevant departments to make preparations for cold waves in accordance with their duties; pay attention to adding clothes and keeping warm; take certain protective measures for tropical crops and aquatic products; and make preparations for wind protection.
It is understood that the China Meteorological Administration has launched a four-level emergency response to major meteorological disasters (cold waves) at 18:00 on November 19.
The meteorological department reminded the public that the cooling in our province was drastic on the 21st and 22nd, and it is necessary to pay attention to the adverse impact of strong cooling on energy security, human health, and epidemic prevention and control. During the period of cold air influence, the wind gusts in the province are strong, and it is necessary to strengthen billboards and temporary structures in advance, try to avoid water surface and high-altitude work, and do a good job of strong wind defense measures.
