On November 9, with the strong support of the relevant departments of the criminal investigation detachment of the Liuzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau, the pursuit and escape of suspect Wei Mousheng finally had a major breakthrough: after comparison, a man who was seized for prostitution in Nanning City, Guangxi Province in 2018, "Wei Liujun", was highly similar to suspect Wei Mousheng. In order to determine the true identity and place of "Wei Liujun", various police departments of the Liucheng police have investigated many cases and quickly launched the analysis and judgment of the relevant information of "Wei Liujun".
After locking down the specific hiding place of "Wei Liujun" in Nanning City, on the evening of November 10, the Liucheng police decided to carry out an arrest operation, and the police successfully arrested "Wei Liujun" in a street in Liangqing District, Nanning City. After interrogation, "Wei Liujun" was indeed Wei Mousheng himself, and he had been using the pseudonym "Wei Liujun" for 20 years after the incident absconded to other places, and the criminal suspect Wei Mousheng confessed to the crime of killing people and absconding. At this point, the murder case, which had been backlogged for 20 years, was finally solved.
At present, the criminal suspect Wei Mousheng has been criminally detained in accordance with the law, and the case is being further investigated.
