On the afternoon of November 15, Beijing time, the Premier League Norwich team officially announced that the team appointed Dean Smith as the club's new head coach, and Smith signed a two-and-a-half-year contract.

Dean Smith recently coached at Aston Villa where he brings a wealth of experience to Norwich City. Prior to coaching Aston Villa, Smith held management positions at Brentford and Walsall.

Smith said through the official website: I am really happy to be back in the coaching staff and work for Norwich. Now my job with Craig is to continue and improve the team, with the ultimate goal of helping the team relegation.

Norwich have only won 1, drawn 2 and lost 8 in the league this season and are currently at the bottom of the Premier League.
