When Shi Yuan was born, we had been married for many years, and we were ready to become parents in terms of both external environment and psychological maturity.
We have nibbled on a lot of parenting scriptures, and in the early days, we carried out scientific parenting with a textbook attitude. Many parenting books mention that good parents should do these things: always accompany their children, pay attention to reading, be able to control emotions, and teach their children by example.
When the child was still in the cradle, I began to read picture books to him, read parents and children every day, and participated in the annual conference of "close to the mother tongue" lamplighter. I wrote a large number of parent-child reading comments on the Little Study Children's Literature Network, the Blue Kangaroo Parent-Child Blog, and the E-Degree Forum (later rebranded as Parent Help), and took my children to the pickup shop every day to participate in book clubs. We enrolled our children in a lot of interest classes: calligraphy, piano, vocal music, golden sail choir, chess, bridge, swimming, badminton, Olympiad... However, the child just does not hate the aesthetic literary paintings, passively recites ancient poems, and the pure works of art that are not strong in stories are difficult to stimulate his interest.

In the fourth grade of primary school, Shi Yuan was admitted to the quality class of the Extraordinary Center of Beijing No. 8 Middle School. The Eighth Middle School has allocated the best teachers to the quality class, reduced the repetitive examination training for further education, and expanded the growth of students as widely as possible. The class has half a day of natural physical education classes per week, and one week of each semester goes to the field to practice social practice. The child is in the stage of rapid physical development, and after in-depth face-to-face communication with the physical education teacher, I personally accompany the child to insist on exercising. Our mother and son are on the north riverbank, often jogging for 6 kilometers, running and talking in the night, and I tell the family story to the children. The four seasons alternate between cold and warm, mother and child move forward side by side, and the long figure becomes a precious gift of time. During this period, "allow" became a key word, and the attitude of "gentle and firm" made the parent-child relationship very harmonious, and there were few internal friction disputes because of the troubles of adolescence.
Because of the special academic system of the eight quality classes, there is no barrier to the middle school entrance examination, and the children read a lot of original English books in the junior high school stage, including novels with complex historical and social backgrounds that won the Nobel Prize for Literature.

In the first year of high school, after participating in the high school math league, the child followed the provincial team to observe, standardize the answer steps and write the problem solving process, and conduct post-test review analysis, which improved the advantages of science.
Participate in the "Talent Program" activities for middle school students
Throughout the sophomore year of high school, due to the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China Tiananmen Square gift training and the suspension of classes due to the new crown epidemic, the time spent in school has been greatly reduced, and the benefit of this is to free up a lot of time on the way to school. In September, when he was promoted to his junior year of high school, he won the Math High School League Province One and the Physics Rematch Province Two.
In the face of the third year of high school, Shi Yuan chose the combination of the three subjects of the college entrance examination reform "materialized life", but from the perspective of personality, we still support children to squeeze time to read historical and war reviews and novels.
Through many stage examinations, dads help children divide and conquer, set small goals, and give themselves enough training time to improve their proficiency in doing questions during the evening self-study. Although there is no obvious shortcoming in the college entrance examination subjects, the test-taking training of biology and the usual learning are still very different, and Dad helped to do a lot of analysis on the details of the examination papers, familiarize yourself with the knowledge list of each unit in the basic aspects, draw mind maps, and standardize the answering terms. The child's weak subject is language, we grasp the characteristics of the child's love to talk and love to speak, the written expression is weaker, around a topic, dinner and walk time, father and son deeply chat about views, chat about materials. The child's fear of difficulties, the dazedness of not being able to write, released in the speech, the practice of writing essay again and again to find the teacher face to face to revise, sometimes the composition is selected by the teacher as an excellent model text and other students together to print out, sent to the class to share, but also positively stimulate the enthusiasm of the child's writing.
In the final stage of the college entrance examination sprint, Shi Yuan still maintains the habit of exercising every day, the eighth middle school still retains physical education classes, recess exercises are still very diverse, every night after self-study, the child is still doing stretching and pulling on the simple horizontal bar of home decoration, and meets the tense learning task with a full mental state.
