A bus overturn in the Brazilian state of São Paulo killed at least six people
Sao Paulo, Nov. 13 (Xinhua) -- A tourist bus overturning accident occurred in the Brazilian state of São Paulo on november 13, killing at least 6 people, injuring 48 people, and 2 missing.
According to the fire department of the State of São Paulo, on the morning of the 13th, a tourist bus carrying 66 passengers overturned on the way from São Paulo City to paraty, a coastal city of Rio de Janeiro State, causing 5 people, including 1 child, to die on the spot and 48 people to be injured. The injured have been taken to a nearby hospital, and one of them died due to ineffective rescue. At present, 2 people are still missing, and rescue workers are still searching the scene.
According to reports, the bus illegally drove into a mountainous section where buses and trucks were prohibited from passing, and overturned when it was stopped by the police and turned around. The specific cause of the accident is still under investigation.
