JinkoTech Li Shuai: Actively layout the 2C and 2B user-side markets

author:Beijing News

Beijing News Shell Financial News (reporter Zhu Yueyi) On November 12, Li Shuai, vice president of JinkoSolut's emerging business, proposed in the online forum "How to Adapt to and Grasp the Trend of Double Carbon" hosted by Beijing News Shell Finance that Jinko is actively laying out the 2C and even the next 2B user-side market, and will do a good job in extending the power station business and forming a dislocation with state-owned power generation enterprises instead of competing.

"Under the dual carbon target, doing a good job in innovation and service is what private enterprises like Jinko should strive to do." Li Shuai proposed that as a group enterprise with listed companies overseas and domestic, Jinko has made a strategic layout in the upstream module manufacturing industry, downstream power plant investment, and integrated energy solutions in combination with the current policy situation.

According to Li Shuai, at present, at the upstream end, reducing component costs and improving module efficiency are the focus of Jinko's technology research and development. For example, the current mainstream application to module cells is mono perc technology, but this technology is gradually difficult to meet the cost and efficiency requirements of the next generation of solar power generation modules, Jinko has iterated out TOPCon and other technologies. Li Shuai said that Jinko's ultimate strategy is to first do a good job in equipment innovation, components, component extension of BIPV and hydrogen-related equipment research and development, which Jinko should continue to accumulate and break through in application scenarios.

In addition, Li Shuai said that with the proposal of the national new energy installation target, Jinko will reasonably increase the total amount of power station assets held by the bottom layer, and use these power station assets as the basis for extended power sales business, BIPV services, power station design services and operation and maintenance business, so that these businesses can cooperate with the power plant investment pattern with China's central enterprises and state-owned enterprises as the mainstay, and form a dislocation rather than competition with state-owned power generation enterprises.

"The advantage of photovoltaics is that it is flexible and close to the user." Li Shuai mentioned the joint declaration issued by china and the United States at the United Nations Conference on Climate Change in Glasgow, which mentioned encouraging policies to promote decarbonization and electrification of the end-user industry. Li Shuai said that Jinko began to actively layout the 2C and even the next 2B user-side market at the beginning of this year, "this is our important layout, to open up our business model and operational capabilities, to prepare for the next module cost to reduce to a more economical industrial and commercial or household scenario, and to push photovoltaic power generation as a consumer product to the 2B and 2C markets."
