"Post-70s" Zhang Yi was appointed vice president of the Agricultural Bank of China

On November 11, the official website of the Agricultural Bank of China announced that the Agricultural Bank of China Co., Ltd. recently received the "Reply of the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission on the Qualifications of Zhang Yi of the Agricultural Bank of China" (Banking and Insurance Regulatory Review [2021] No. 856). Mr. Zhang Yi has been the Vice President of the Bank since 4 November 2021.

According to the official resume, Zhang Yi, male, born in January 1971, holds a master's degree in business administration from Chinese Min University and is a senior accountant.

He was the Deputy General Manager of the Asset and Liability Management Department of China Construction Bank, the Vice President and President of Jiangsu Branch, the General Manager of the Financial Accounting Department of the Head Office, the Chief Financial Officer and General Manager of the Financial accounting Department of China Construction Bank, and the Vice President of the Agricultural Bank of China since November 2021.

The predecessor of the Agricultural Bank of China can be traced back to the Agricultural Cooperative Bank, which was established in 1951. Since the end of the 1970s, the bank has successively experienced different stages of development such as national specialized banks, wholly state-owned commercial banks and state-controlled commercial banks, and was restructured into a joint-stock limited company in January 2009.
