In recent days, the number of new hospitalizations and infections in the UK has declined slightly.
In the past seven days, there were 6,648 new hospitalizations in the UK, down 8.4% from the previous week; 237064 new infections, down 14.7%; and 1,157 new deaths, up 1.4%.
However, experts said that although the data has declined, it will take a while to determine whether the epidemic in the UK is improving. The UK government's scientific advisers have said that data from the UK Office for National Statistics (ONS) is currently the most reliable reference standard.
According to data reported by ONS, 91% of UK university students have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, with 95% of them saying they will be tested if they develop symptoms of a suspected infection.
Among college students who have not yet been vaccinated, only 73% are willing to be tested, and only 32% of students are willing to be vaccinated.
However, from the data point of view, most British students are still willing to cooperate with the epidemic prevention, this year's British university campuses have not appeared in the same outbreak as last year, the situation is still relatively optimistic.
