The Linping District Sports Center was officially opened on September 5, and is one of the first batch of renovation and expansion of Asian Games venues, and completed the comprehensive acceptance of the venue functions of the Hangzhou Asian Organizing Committee on September 17, and basically met the conditions for hosting the Asian Games. The centre will host three Asian Games events – Football Preliminary Round, Karate Preliminary Round and Volleyball Preliminary Tournament , and one Asian Paralympic Event – Seated Volleyball Preliminary Round.
The design of this venue adopts the design concept of "Silk Road", which is composed of five buildings: stadium, gymnasium, swimming pool, comprehensive training hall and wind and rain stadium, with a total construction area of about 95,000 square meters.
Tangqi Blind Gateball Training Base, as the only private venue, will host the preliminary final of the blind gateball project of the Asian Para Games. The renovation of the project, which involves 2 competition venues and 4 training venues, covers an area of about 16,000 square meters, and was officially completed on April 30 this year and is scheduled to be completed by the end of December this year.
