At 8 o'clock on November 7, at the "Tianmin Pastoral" vegetable base in Nancai Village, Wuqing District, more than 20 vegetable farmers with brooms, shovels and other tools were clearing snow from greenhouses. After the snow is cleared, the vegetable farmers are busy lifting the insulation on the top of the greenhouse to warm and fill the light for vegetables such as turnips, rapeseed, and tomatoes.

At the scene, Yang Donghai, director of the Wuqing District Agricultural Service Center, while helping vegetable farmers clear the snow, instructed liu Tianmin, the person in charge of the park, to hang a layer of curtains at the entrance to prevent the cold wind from entering, if the temperature is too low, start the heater in time or use the combustion block to heat up, and do not let the vegetables freeze at night.

In a vegetable park in Daliang Town, Wuqing District, Yang Donghai and vegetable experts Yang Guoning and Li Xianghua helped vegetable farmers harvest vegetables in the collapsed greenhouses and contacted insurance companies to settle claims.

At the vegetable base of the "Qingbai Vegetable Cooperative" in Heyizhuang Village, Hexiwu Town, Wuqing District, Guo Shuyan, the person in charge, led the members to clear the snow in the open radish field to avoid the occurrence of radish frost damage. She consulted with the heads of the towns and villages who came to build more than 20 acres of open-air radish land into a greenhouse planting area, so that high-quality radish varieties can grow as usual in winter. The new greenhouse, with subsidy funds given by the municipal and district government departments, the cooperative will take some money and will soon be able to build it to ensure that the citizens can eat crisp and sweet radish during the Spring Festival.

Guo Yunfeng, deputy director of the Municipal Agricultural Development Service Center, said that since the afternoon of November 7, they have formed a number of agricultural technology expert groups to go deep into vegetable greenhouses in Jinghai, Baodi, Ninghe, Wuqing, Xiqing, Beichen, Binhai New Area and other places to guide vegetable farmers to remove snow and heat up, ensure the normal growth of vegetables, and meet the "vegetable basket" of the citizens.
