On September 6th and 8th, Zeng Xiaomin, director of Guangdong Cantonese Theatre, will join hands with a group of famous and rookies to bring two performances at the Wuhan Theater: "I Am Zeng Xiaomin - Drama Say" Symphony Concert and the newly compiled modern Cantonese opera "Red Turban".
She is also the "White Lady" on the movie screen. This summer, she starred in the Cantonese opera film "The Legend of the White Snake, Love", which won the box office champion of Chinese film history and opera films, making Cantonese opera "out of the circle".
Why Wuhan?
Wuhan is known as the "drama dock". In addition to the birth of two major local drama genres of Chinese opera and Chu opera, Yu opera, Yue opera, commentary drama and other foreign local dramas have had professional troupes in Wuhan, which can be described as a hundred flowers blooming.
The guangdong Cantonese Opera last performed in Wuhan was at the Southern National Local Opera In September 2017. That time, the newly compiled legendary Cantonese opera "White Snake Legend and Love" surprised the Wuhan audience on the Wuhan Jingyun Grand Stage. The last time a Cantonese opera group performed in Wuhan was in 1987, when the team led by the red line female art master went to Wuhan to participate in the first China Arts Festival.
After many years, this time, the Guangdong Cantonese Opera hopes to show the audience in Wuhan a more different color of Cantonese opera.

It is an audiovisual feast where Eastern and Western instruments shine together. Zeng Xiaomin will join hands with Fan Tao, a national first-class conductor, a Cantonese opera performance artist of Guangdong Cantonese Theatre and a performer of Hubei Symphony Orchestra, to present a symphony concert that integrates traditional and modern art.
