In order to retain the nostalgia of the porpoise, in addition to the comprehensive implementation of the "ten-year fishing ban" in the Jiangxi section of the main stream of the Yangtze River, Poyang Lake and the Nanchang section of the Ganjiang River, and strictly control illegal sand dredging and other acts that damage the water ecological environment, Jiangxi has also focused on promoting the rectification of the sewage outlet of the Yangtze River, so that the water quality of the river has improved year by year, creating a good living environment for the return of the porpoise. Monitoring data show that in 2020 and the first half of this year, the water quality of 10 assessment sections in the Western section of the Yangtze River main stream was stable at Class II.; in the first half of this year, the water quality of the main stream of the Ganjiang River continued to improve, and among the 33 sections, there were 29 Class II water quality sections and 4 Class III water quality sections.
