On May 30, the reporter learned from the Sichuan Branch of China Post Group Co., Ltd. that Wang Shunyou, known as the loyal messenger of China Post's "Maban Postal Road", died of illness on May 30, 2021 in Muli Tibetan Autonomous County, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, at the age of 56.

Born in November 1965 in Muli Tibetan Autonomous County, Sichuan Province, Wang Shunyou is of Miao ethnicity and joined the Communist Party of China in October 2004. He started his career in October 1985 and has long been engaged in the delivery of Maban Postal Road in Baidiao, Triangle Ya and Weibo Townships in Muli County, and has adhered to Maban Postal Road for 32 years.

Wang Shunyou has won the National May Day Labor Medal, the National Model Worker, the National Outstanding Communist Party Member, the National Model of Dedication and Dedication, and the 2005 Person of the Year Who Moved China. In 2009, he was selected as one of the 100 Chinese that have touched the founding of New China; in 2012, he was elected as a delegate to the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China; in 2019, he was awarded the title of the most beautiful strivers in the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.

Wang Shunyou is known as a legend in the history of world postal services. From the time he worked as a postman at the Post Office of Muli Tibetan Autonomous County, it meant that he chose a long and lonely journey. For decades, the reason for Wang Shunyou to stick to it was not for a job, but for every time he handed over newspapers and mail to the villagers, they were as happy as the New Year's momentum. What a kind and simple person, for a simple and noble mission, exhausting his youth in the mountains and valleys. Wang Shunyou once said that he is willing to walk on the postal road all the time, but he does not want future generations to take this "Maban postal road" again. In 2017, with the opening of the Sanjueya Township Highway in Muli County, Liangshan Prefecture finally ended the history of the "Maban Postal Road" and replaced it with a series of township roads. Nowadays, with the continuous improvement of basic transportation, packages sent back to Daliangshan outside can soon be received at the doorstep of the home. The dream came true, and Wang Shunyou left without regrets, but left the regret of the Si people's death to Daliangshan.

The lone traveler, the way is not alone. Nowadays, the "Maban Postal Road" has become history, but Wang Shunyou's story and his spirit, like soma flowers, spread throughout the mountains and fields, inspiring every strivers, endless life, never withering!
