Since March 1, the China-EU Geographical Indications Agreement has officially entered into force, which also means that Suichuan Dog Brain will ride on the east wind of development and reap good results in further strengthening China-EU economic and trade cooperation and benefiting consumers and enterprises on both sides.

It is understood that Suichuan Dog Brain Tea is produced in Tanghu Town, Suichuan County, which began in the first year of Qing Jiaqing (1796 AD) and has a long history of more than 200 years. It is named after its tea planted at an altitude of more than 900 meters above sea level, resembling a dog's head. Dog Brain Mountain, the mountain is high and densely forested, the soil is fertile, the sunshine is short, the rainfall is abundant, the clouds are full, the spring water is babbling, there is no severe cold in winter, no heat in summer, and there is no pollution. The unique geographical location and good climate environment have bred high-quality dog brain tea leaves.

China-EU Geographical Indications Agreement is the first comprehensive and high-level geographical indications agreement signed by China and foreign investors, China and the European Union are rich in geographical indication resources, in order to strengthen the protection and cooperation of geographical indications, promote the trade of geographical indication products, the two sides launched the China-EU Geographical Indications Agreement negotiations in 2011, the negotiations have lasted for 8 years and 22 rounds of formal negotiations and hundreds of informal consultations. On September 14, 2020, the two sides formally signed the agreement. On January 29, 2021, the two sides completed the internal approval process and notified each other. On March 1, 2021, the agreement officially entered into force. With the entry into force of the agreement, the first batch of 100 geographical indications in China were officially selected as European geographical indications. Among the 100 geographical indications, there are products that have been exported to Europe, such as Wuyuan green tea, Turpan raisins, Pu'er coffee, etc., as well as products that may have export potential to Europe, such as Yantai apples, Anyue lemons, Shaoxing wine, etc.
