Comrade Zeng Xuelin, a member of the Communist Party of China, former head coach and senior coach of the Chinese national football team, died in Shenzhen on February 11, 2016 at the age of 86 due to illness.
Born in Thailand in 1929, Comrade Zeng Xuelin served as the head coach and deputy head coach of the Chinese national football team, and led the national team to the runner-up of the 8th Asian Cup Football Championship. Comrade Zeng Xuelin was an outstanding athlete and well-known football coach in China in the 1950s. He is good at research, for our country to cultivate Shen Xiangfu, Liu Lifu and other outstanding athletes, with rich practical experience and theoretical level, has published a number of articles on football development and commentary, in his later years still concerned about Chinese football, once served as a consultant and leader of the Shenzhen football team, and actively contributed to the development of China's football industry.
The farewell ceremony of Comrade Zeng Xuelin's body will be held at 9 o'clock on February 19 at Shenzhen Funeral Home.
