Guan Gua 20

䷓ Kun xia sunda

Guan (1): 颙不颙 (2), Fu Yu Ruo (3).

(1) Viewing: There is the meaning of looking, observing, and investigating, looking from the bottom up.

(2) Guàn refers to washing hands before the festival. Recommendation: Offering wine and food for sacrifice.

3Fu: Integrity. yóng if: the appearance of reverence and admiration.

[Translation]

View: When forbade worship, wash your hands and clean yourself before offering sacrifices, and be honest and revere solemn.

The "Yan" says: The Great View is on the Top (1), Shun and Xun (2), and the Middle View is looking at the world (3). Guan, "颙不 recommended, there is a fu qi ruo", and the lower view is also (4). Look at the heavens of Shinto, and the four hours are not. The saints set up a religion based on Shinto (5), and the whole world obeyed.

【Notes】

(1) The Grand View is on the Top: The "Ninth Five-Year Plan" of the "View" is on the top, and the grand and spectacular weather is always presented in the sublime, so it is called "the Grand View is on the Top". "Guan" has the meaning of a palace, such as the White Cloud Temple in Beijing, which means the temple in the white clouds.

(2) Shun and Xun: "Guan" Gua Xia Kun Shang Xun, Kun is Shun, so it is shun and Sunda.

(3) Zhongzheng: The 95th is centered and correct.

(4) Lower-looking and incarnation: Those who are below can receive beautiful enlightenment by looking up at it. Transformation, that is, the transformation of "Debo and transformation".

(5) Shinto religion: Ancient emperors followed the change of the heavenly path to the gods and built temples, worshiped ghosts and gods, held sacrifices, and made people fear and obey, so as to achieve the purpose of educating and influencing the people.

The "Yan" says: (95) Grand and spectacular (meteorological) on the top, shun and thus inferior. (95) He also looks at the world with the middle of the right. Guan, "At the time of sacrifice, wash your hands and clean yourself before entering the offering, and revere solemnity with integrity", and the lower (yin) view is shown above (yang) and is inspired. Contemplating the mysterious laws of nature of the Heavenly Dao, and the four-hour change is not wrong; the saints use the Shinto to establish enlightenment, and all the peoples of the world can obey.

"Elephant" said: The wind travels on the ground (1), view. The previous kings set up a religion in the provinces of Fangguan (2).

(1) Wind on the ground: "Guan" under the Kun on the Sunda, Sunda for the wind on the top, Kun for the ground on the ground, so "the wind on the ground", all things are widely influenced. The wind is the messenger of heaven and earth, there is wind to have feelings, and the fertility and spread of plants depend on the wind, so there are thousands of styles.

(2) Provincial side: Patrol the province to inspect the affairs of the four parties (localities). The heavens are round, so the "square" is used to represent the "earth". Observing the people and setting up religion: Observing the people's feelings and establishing a political religion.

【Translation】

"Elephant" says: The wind is on the ground, and the "Guan" is the image of the gua. The first king (following this) examined the four directions and observed the people's feelings to set up enlightenment.
