A special exhibition to celebrate the 85th anniversary of the stage life of Mr. Zhao Yanxia, a famous Peking Opera performance artist, will be staged in Beijing
BEIJING, Dec. 29 (Xinhua) -- Mr. Zhao Yanxia, the only surviving founder of the Peking Opera genre, will celebrate the 90th anniversary of his birth and the 85th anniversary of stage life in 2018.
On December 29th, the press conference "Celebrating the 90th Anniversary of the Birth of Mr. Zhao Yanxia, a Famous Peking Opera Performing Artist and the 85th Anniversary of Stage Life" sponsored by the Beijing Opera House, was held here.
As the founder of the peking opera genre that has only left the fruits, Master Zhao Yanxia has been cultivating pear orchards for nearly 85 years.
Mr. Zhao Yanxia is not only the founder of zhao Pai, but also a representative descendant of the national intangible cultural heritage (Peking Opera) project and the representative descendant of the Beijing Intangible Cultural Heritage (Peking Opera) project.
Zhao Yanxia was born in the Liyuan family, and since childhood, under the supervision of his father Zhao Xiaolou (a martial arts actor), he practiced basic skills, learning Tsing Yi and Hua Dan from Chu Yuxiang, He Peihua, Li Lingfeng, etc., and worshiping Xun Huisheng as a teacher.
At the age of 15, Mr. Zhao came to prominence with a play "Great Britain", her performance was free, her voice was sweet, her singing voice was melodious, her pronunciation was crisp, her words were clear, and she was good at shaping different types of artistic images. Her performances of "Red Lady", "Huatian Mistake", "Xin Anyi", "Xun Guanniang", "Yutang Chun" and other dramas, on the basis of inheriting the performance style of the Xun School, boldly broke through in combination with her own conditions. These distinctive artistic characteristics formed the Zhao style of Peking Opera, and Mr. Zhao Yanxia became the only female founder of the Peking Opera genre.
In order to spread the art of the Zhao School, Mr. Zhao reopened the mountain gate in his later years and took in Xiong Mingxia, Zhu Hong, Wu Haoyi, Wang Jing and others.
Mr. Zhao Yanxia is a unique artist, and together with Mei Lanfang, Shang Xiaoyun, Cheng Yanqiu, Xun Huisheng and Ma Lianliang, Tan Fuying, Zhang Junqiu, Qiu Shengrong, these previous masters of art are also the founders of the Beijing Opera House.
The press conference on the 29th announced that the Beijing Opera House will launch the "Celebration of the 90th Anniversary of the Birth of The Famous Peking Opera Performing Artist Mr. Zhao Yanxia and the 85th Anniversary of Stage Life" from April 10 to 16, 2018, which was strongly supported by the Beijing Xiqu Art Development Foundation.
Ms. Zhang Yanyan, daughter of Mr. Zhao Yanxia, spoke on behalf of Mr. Zhao Yanxia, she said: "My mother often said that the audience is her mentor and friend, and her biggest gain in this life is to win the love and support of the audience, so she also loves the audience, thanks the audience, and it is the audience that gives her the vitality of her art."
According to reports, on April 10, 2018, the Beijing Opera House will use a Peking Opera concert to kick off the prelude to this celebration. From April 11 to 15, five Zhao Pai plays "Yutang Spring", "Huatian Eight Mistakes", "Bibo Immortals", "Xun Guanniang" and "The Legend of the White Snake" will be performed at the Chang'an Grand Theatre, and these performances will be completed by Zhao Yanxia's daughter Zhao Pai Qingyi Zhang Yanyan and Zhao Pai disciples Wang Jing, Zhu Hong, Wu Haoyi, Chen Zhangxia and others. Concentrate on displaying the artistic vitality of the zhao pai disciples, and fully highlight the charming charm of the Zhao pai art.
Peking Opera audiences all know that Zhao Pai's singing voice is unique, especially the "Little Obedience" section in "The Legend of the White Snake" is even more popular, in order to retain the essence of Zhao Pai's singing voice and spread it, the "Zhao Yanxia Singing Cavity Song Score Collection" compiled by Zhang Maojie and Hao Yong and published by the China Federation of Literature and Literature Publishing House was also released on the spot.
Mr. Zhao Yanxia personally delivered a speech, she said: "The current environment of Peking Opera was too good, and young students should cherish the opportunity, work hard, learn more drama, sing more opera, and strive to contribute to Peking Opera." And gave the "Collection of Musical Scores" to the students present.
At the scene of the event, the representatives of the fans also presented a portrait of Mr. Zhao Yanxia to celebrate mr. Zhao Yanxia's 90th birthday.
