1. On March 29th, the Liaoning Symphony Orchestra played the "40th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Liaoning Symphony Orchestra and Mahler's "Third Symphony" Concert" at the Concert Hall of shengjing Grand Theatre.
2. This concert also specially invited the internationally renowned conductor - Hu Yongyan to conduct the baton.
3. Conductor - Hu Yongyan, born in Shanghai into a musical family, graduated from the Central Conservatory of Music, and went to Yale University in the United States and Julia College of Music in New York in 1986 for further study. He was the founder of the Central Conservatory of Music Band Academy (former dean/artistic director) and an adjunct professor at Yale University (awarded the 2016 Thirteen Outstanding Professors – President's Award).
4. Music Director and Principal Conductor of Shanghai Radio Symphony Orchestra (now Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra), and led the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra on a tour of Europe. He served as the former Principal Conductor of the China National Symphony Orchestra and led the CCTV on its first visit to Korea. In 2009, he conducted the Qingdao Symphony Orchestra to tour the United States at Carnegie Hall in New York and the Kennedy Center in Washington. In 2010, he cooperated with the famous Mei Lanfang Peking Opera Troupe at home and abroad and a generation of Peking Opera master Mr. Mei Baojiu, and toured Canada with the Canadian Edment Symphony Orchestra in Canada.
5. Hu Yongyan was the principal guest conductor of the North German State Philharmonic Orchestra. He has performed with many famous orchestras such as the National Symphony Orchestra of France, the Royal Symphony Orchestra of London, and the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. He has also performed with many platinum-selling album artists, including Yo-Yo Ma, Perlman, Handkers, Zorkman, Lang Lang and many other famous artists.
6. Hu Yongyan cooperated with Ye Xiaogang, artistic director of The Beijing Modern Music Festival and famous composer, and served as the music director of the Beijing Modern Music Festival for more than ten years. In recent years, all mahler symphony works that have been successfully performed at the National Centre for the Performing Arts have been highly praised by the industry and outside.
7. Hu Yongyan has a wide range of works, has a rich artistic imagination and innovative spirit, and has played an important role in promoting the international exchange of music. The Washington Post once gave a high evaluation of its wonderful performance, saying that it left a particularly good impression on the audience.
