The team of art director and modeling design teacher Hao Yi gave us the design drawings approved by the director, we were responsible for the physical presentation results of each stage after the mutation, and the visual effects department was responsible for dealing with the transition between stages when needed.

First, the initial and intermediate stages
In the initial stage, because the toxic substance has just been inhaled, in order to distinguish it, we only hand-painted the skin of the infected character and drawn the external appearance of the toxin in the blood. In the mid-stage stage, the physical changes of the poisoned characters are manifested as skeletal alienation and bulging veins of the poisoned veins, so that the viewer can feel the obvious effect of the toxins in their blood on their bodies. We sculpted a lot of tendons and veins combined with skeletal false skins using different professional materials to make pastes and finally color the overall shape.

In the state of the deepest poisoning, the actor has disappeared from the human form, and the whole body looks like a complete monster. This part is also the part that we have made the most about this character. The whole person has to change from the inside out. The full head and whole body of the actors are reproduced separately, and the mold is made to complete the 1:1 real person and other proportions of abrasives, so as to ensure that each actor is fit and fit. Mold retouching is completed and then divided into parts for sculpture, re-re-re-re-making, making foam latex head cover, false skin, special effects clothing that is easy to wear and take off, gloves, mutant teeth making, manual implantation of beard, hair and sweat hair, and finally wearing special full-pupil contact lenses after overall makeup and dressing to complete the overall shape.
