After investigation, Zhao Wei violated political discipline by fabricating evidence and resisting organizational review; violating the spirit of the eight provisions of the central authorities, squandering and wasting state property, and violating standards in receiving and giving gifts; violating organizational discipline by accepting bribes from others to seek personnel benefits for others; violating honesty and discipline by accepting gifts and gifts; and violating life discipline. Taking advantage of one's position and authority to seek benefits for others and accept huge sums of money or property is suspected of accepting bribes.

As a leading cadre with party membership, Zhao Wei has no party spirit and principles, has lost his ideals and convictions, has betrayed his original mission, has been morally corrupt, is willing to be "hunted down," has disregarded party discipline and state law, has seriously violated the party's political discipline, has violated the law of his official duties, and is suspected of accepting bribes. In accordance with the "Regulations on Disciplinary Punishment of the Communist Party of China," the "Supervision Law of the People's Republic of China," and other relevant provisions, after being studied by the Standing Committee of the Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection and reported to the Standing Committee of the Municipal CPC Committee for approval, it was decided to give Zhao Wei the punishment of expulsion from the party; the Municipal Supervision Commission gave him the punishment of dismissal from public office; confiscated his gains from violating discipline and law; transferred his suspected crimes to the procuratorial organs for examination and prosecution according to law, and the property involved was transferred with the case.
