Such high-altitude snowflake ice crystals melt in the warm air area, enter the cold area again before landing, too late to melt, and then freeze after landing, which is frozen rain. That is to say, it is seen in the rain, but falling to the ground into ice. This kind of cold rain that reverses the temperature on the front requires a great contrast between cold and warm air.
