LONDON, Nov. 13 (Xinhua) -- Former England and Chelsea legend Joe Cole announced his retirement on November 13, ending a 20-year career as a professional player.
The 37-year-old has played for seven clubs, West Ham United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Lille, Aston Villa, Coventry City and Tampa Bay Mob, making more than 700 appearances and scoring 104 goals during his career.
Joe Cole traveled to the United States in the summer of 2016 to play for Tampa Bay Mob FC.
Joe Cole said: "After 20 years as a professional player, it's time for me to hang up my boots. Looking back, all my dreams have come true. ”
During his seven years at Chelsea, Joe Cole helped the team win three Premier League titles, two FA Cups and reach the Champions League final.
During his time for England from 2001 to 2010, Joe Cole scored 10 goals in 56 appearances and played in three World Cups in 2002, 2006 and 2010.
