When we think of Disney, we think of a lot of characters — princesses and critters , the most classic and iconic of which are Mickey and his friends, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Pluto.
Over the years, people have seen this group of cartoon characters in countless movies and TV series and feel that they know these characters very well.
However, a debate on whether Goofy is a cow or a dog was recently launched online has raised questions about Goofy.
Some people think Goofy is a cow because his wife is a Clarabelle cow. According to this argument, if Mickey and Minnie are together and they are both mice, and Donald and Daisy are together, and they are both ducks, then Goofy must be a cow. Another reason is that Pluto is a thorough dog, but it can't walk or talk like Goofy, which also proves that Goofy and Pluto are certainly not the same species.
Those who insist that Goofy is a dog believe that the character first appeared under the name "Dippy Dawg" in 1932 before changing to Goofy, so Goofy is an anthropomorphic dog.
