On April 28, 1905, the 19th Shanghai International Film Festival announced the first batch of 4K restoration films, including the classic masterpiece "Four Hundred Years of Thrilling Love", which is regarded as the "Epic of Vampire Movies", the first two "Late Spring" and "Mai Qiu" of the "Kiko Trilogy" cooperated by Yasujiro Ozu and the screen goddess Setsuko Hara, the famous Italian director Fellini's semi-autobiographical nostalgic work "Amakod" and the work "Hunger Strait" by Ken Takakura, which ranked third in the 20th century Japanese film list in Japan.
Since 2013, the Shanghai International Film Festival has been showing 4K restoration films, including Lawrence of Arabia. Since 2014, the "4K Restoration Classic Unit" has been officially established. The 19th Shanghai International Film Festival will be held from June 11 to 19, and the international film screening unit will continue to introduce 4K restorations, allowing audiences to relive classics on the big screen.
