Vladimir Volegov was born in Chabarovsk, Russia. By the age of 3, he was already trying to paint. His talent was evident throughout his youth. Volegov studied art education at Krivoi Roy, and after completing a military mission, he was admitted to the Lvov Polygraph Institute in the former Soviet Union. By 1984, he participated in the International Poster Art Competition. He won many of the competitions he played.
In 1988, Volegov moved to Moscow and flourished in commercial art. He began to be approached by famous Russian publishing houses, who offered employment opportunities in various media. Although this was his formal job or employment, he continued to paint and participate in exhibitions.

Vladimir studied at the art school "Krivoi Rogge" and served in the army before being admitted to the Lvov Institute of Multi-Graphics in the former Soviet Union. Beginning in 1984, Vladimir began participating in and winning international poster art competitions.
Vladimir Volegov moved to Moscow in 1988, and soon after, Vladimir's commercial art career was in full swing. Renowned Russian publishers sought his talents to design posters, CDs and cassette covers for musical groups. During his time with publishing houses, he continued to work on paintings and exhibitions.
In 1990, Vladimir began traveling to Europe, earning money by painting portraits on the streets of Barcelona, Berlin, Vienna and other European cities. It was with this experience that he further honed his skills in depicting human forms. Over the past fourteen years, his art has evolved into the compelling figurative works he creates today. Vladimir's vibrant color palette and bold brushstrokes come together to create evocative images with timeless sensibility.
In February 2004, Vladimir signed a long-term contract with SOHO Publishing House.
