Guangdong Province recently issued the "Notice on Further Strengthening the Protection and Management of Wild Animals", which requires that from January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2023, the hunting of wild birds in the province will be completely banned. Under this opportunity, the Provincial Forestry Bureau also officially released the list of the first batch of top ten bird watching resorts in Guangdong Province, and under the situation of a total ban on the hunting of wild birds, it is believed that birds passing through Guangdong can also fly with dreams.

The top ten bird watching resorts in Guangdong are: Guangdong Nanling National Nature Reserve, Guangdong Haifeng Bird Provincial Nature Reserve, Guangdong Neilinglingdao-Futian National Nature Reserve, Guangdong Zhanjiang Mangrove Forest National Nature Reserve, Guangdong Guangzhou Nansha Wetland Park, Guangdong Zhuhai Qi'ao-Dangan Island Provincial Nature Reserve, Guangdong Nan'ao Migratory Bird Provincial Nature Reserve, Guangdong Maoming Electric Baishui Dongwan Mangrove Wetland, Guangdong Zhaoqing Xinghu National Wetland Park, Guangdong Yangjiang Yangxi County Beiliao Village Mangrove Forest Wetland.

Most of the top ten bird watching resorts in Guangdong selected this time are nature reserves, wetland parks and other natural protected areas, which are distributed along the coastline and migratory bird migration routes.

At present, Guangdong Province is promoting the "Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Waterbird Ecological Corridor Construction Plan (2018-2025)", and by 2025, Guangdong plans to build a waterbird ecological corridor in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, achieving the overall goal of population growth, distribution range expansion and significant improvement of waterbird habitats in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
