Citrus yellow vein disease caused by citrus yellowing pulse virus is a new citrus disease, the disease was first discovered in Pakistan in 1993, causing lemon leaf yellowing, pulse light, shedding, resulting in yield reduction, generally reduced by 30 to 50%, serious up to 70%.
Studies have confirmed that in addition to being spread by susceptible seedlings, scion and grafting, citrus yellow vein disease is also transmitted by citrus whitefly and meadowsweet aphids, and citrus whitefly has a strong ability to transmit poisons.
Recently, Lu Wenyi, a citrus expert of the Guangxi Citrus Association, has found yellowing vein disease strains in the field.
Prevention and control measures:
First, dig up the diseased tree as soon as possible
In view of the fact that there is currently no effective agent for the prevention and treatment of citrus yellowing pulse disease, for the diseased trees that have been infected in the orchard, it is necessary to completely eradicate, especially the sporadic areas, to avoid infection with large areas of healthy orchards; at the same time, spray antiviral preparations such as shiitake mushroom polysaccharides and amino oligosaccharides with brassica lactone to improve the disease resistance of healthy trees and prevent them.
Second, strictly clear the garden
Before replanting new lemons, the orchard needs to be cleared with insecticides to avoid vector insects such as citrus whitefly and meadowsweets, as well as to remove legumes and weeds such as dragon flowers in the orchard.
Third, choose healthy virus-free seedlings
Seedlings built in new orchards or replanted should be selected from disease-free area seedlings, that is, from areas where no yellowing vein disease occurs for transportation, or from plants with no disease in spring shoots for breeding, to prevent the introduction of Yulik lemons from The source areas where disease occurs in Anyue, Sichuan and Ruili, Yunnan, and to avoid the transportation of rock sugar orange seedlings from Hunan and Newhall seedlings from Ganzhou; Guangxi and Guangdong sugar orange seedlings should be strictly quarantined before off-site adjustment.
Fourth, strengthen the prevention and control of insect pests and the disinfection of operating tools
In new orchards, the control of vector insects, especially citrus whitefly and meadowsweet aphids, should be strengthened in the spring and autumn. At the same time, disinfect the branches with 1:4 sodium hypochlorite solution or soapy water to prevent the spread of the disease with agricultural operations.
