The video came two weeks after Alvarez accused Maradona of having abducted her from Cuba to Argentina. Alvarez, 37, said she met Maradona in Cuba in 2000, when he was being treated for alcohol and drug addiction.
The woman claimed that the meeting turned out to be disastrous because the soccer star had left her addicted.
"It was the biggest mistake of my life. I was just a girl at the time, very naïve. He was a very rich stranger, and he was interested in me. I can't refuse. She told Miami TV station América TeVe.

The 37-year-old claimed her relationship with Maradona lasted 3 years but did not elaborate on whether the two had ever had sexual relations. Alvarez claimed Maradona threatened to force her to undergo breast augmentation.
Asked why she had only decided to file charges now, she said she was worried about her family's safety in Cuba. She also claims that Maradona introduced her to the late Cuban leader Fidel Castro, who made an exception by allowing her to travel to Argentina for the 2001 Maradona memorial competition. In 2001, almost no Cuban citizens were allowed to travel overseas.

Alvarez said she had been placed under house arrest at a hotel for three months during her stay in Argentina. She has now filed a lawsuit against Maradona's entourage. Her lawyer also claimed that Argentine immigration officials allowed Alvarez to enter Argentina without parental consent at the time.
Maradona, who died of a heart attack in November 2020 at the age of 60, underwent surgery for a cerebral thrombosis a few weeks before his death.
