The Puping Bridge, built by China Road and Bridge Engineering Co., Ltd., is the first bridge project undertaken by a Chinese enterprise in Europe. With a total length of 1.5 kilometers, puping bridge is the first new bridge in Serbia in nearly 70 years on the Danube River, and it is also a friendship bridge connecting the hearts and minds of the Chinese and Cypriot people. The completion of the bridge has led to the economic development of the relatively backward areas in the northwest of Belgrade, and effectively alleviated the traffic pressure in the urban area and brought convenience to the lives of local residents. On August 30, 2015, China Machinery and Equipment Engineering Co., Ltd. signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Kragujevac Municipal Government of Serbia, with a project amount of about 50 million US dollars, to establish a joint venture in Cyprus to develop and operate an integrated meat processing plant project. The first phase of the project plans to build a new cattle and sheep slaughtering and processing line, with a daily slaughtering capacity of 300 cattle and 2,000 sheep respectively, and an estimated annual output of about 25,000 tons of frozen beef and mutton and exported to China. After the smooth operation of the first phase of the project and the stable income, the second phase is planned to implement a production line of the same scale as the first phase.
