According to Yunnan Fangwang, since this week, Sunac's management team has begun to enter the project to take over the work, and the specific trading matters of Peacock Town will be taken care of by Sunac in the future. This is the third project that Sunac has taken over and developed through asset operation since entering Kunming in 2016, and it is also the first pure commercial real estate project.

Peacock Town is located in Chunrong East Road, Chenggong New Town, covering an area of 353 acres, with a planned construction area of 1.1 million square meters, and is currently the largest commercial real estate project in Chenggong. Due to its large scale, rich business formats, and only 1.5 kilometers away from Kunming high-speed rail station, it has been positioned as a national high-speed rail gateway cultural tourism city since its official debut in May last year. According to the preliminary planning, Peacock Town will develop apartments, hotels, office buildings, commercial streets, shopping malls and performing arts theaters, etc., which is a super-large comprehensive project integrating residential, office, business, tourism, entertainment and other functions. Last year, the Yunnan Tourism Development Commission agreed to set up the Yunnan Overseas Visitor Reception Center in Peacock Town, the first provincial visitor reception center in Yunnan Province to be located at a transportation hub.

Before Sunac participated in the investment, the development and construction of Peacock Town had been proceeding normally. At the beginning of March this year, the most important product of Peacock Town, the Flower Apartment, was officially sold to the public, and the two openings in March and May achieved good results.
