In the long run, we will definitely become the leaders of this industry.
Looking at today's society, there is a humble profession in almost every country - beggar. They are perennial beggars, called "foodmakers" or "hanako" by other professionals, who are at the lowest end of the social class, constantly begging for others in a humble way, receiving handouts from others, and also suffering discrimination and humiliation from others.
But in the history of China, there are many famous figures from beggar origins. For example, Wu Zixu, Zhu Yuanzhang, Yan Song, Su Qi'er and Wu Xun, etc., they were born humble and became legendary figures by their own efforts.
Their names have been known for hundreds of years. Among them, Wu Xun was a humble beggar from childhood, but when he became an adult, he became a pioneer of modern education, and was the only one recorded in Chinese history as a beggar.
On October 19 of the lunar calendar during the 18th year of Daoguang, Mr. Wuxun was born in a poor family in Tangyi County, Shandong Province, with many children in the family, ranking seventh, and Wuxun was also called Wuqi. My parents have been farming for many years, and their living conditions are extremely difficult, and they have been in a situation where they have eaten this meal for a long time and have not eaten it.
When Wu Xun was seven years old, his father's death made the already poor family even worse. In an instant, he lost his only source of income, and in desperation, Wu Xun could only follow his mother to the street to beg for a living.
As Wu Xun grew up, when he was 15 years old, he came to work at the home of his uncle Boss Zhang. However, this boss is an employer who has long oppressed the common people, and during the period of martial arts training, he often beat and bullied him, and even withheld his hard-earned money. Two years later, wu xun, who had been oppressed for a long time, resigned and chose to come to another family surnamed Li to work for a long time.
However, on the night of the Chinese New Year's Eve of the year, the master surnamed Li asked Wuxun to paste a couplet on the door frame, and the illiterate Wuxun accidentally put the couplet upside down. Influenced by feudal superstitious ideas, the owner of the Surname Li thought that this was very unlucky. In anger, he punched and kicked Wu Xun and spoke evil words to each other. When he learned that his mother was seriously ill and urgently needed money to buy medicinal herbs. For the first time, Wu Xun demanded part-time work fees from his master surnamed Li. Wu Xun was extremely contentious, but because he was illiterate, he was framed as a blackmailing money. In the end, he was severely beaten by the people surnamed Li, spat out white foam, and dragged to the street to show the public.
Returning home to the martial arts training, he did not say a word, and stayed quietly for three days. This was the first time that Martial Arts realized how important it was to read and write in this society, because his ignorance had put himself in such a situation. In order to avoid this situation again, Wu Xun decided to learn while begging, be sure to fill his knowledge, read and write, and no longer let others bully.
Only 20 years old, Wu Xun begged everywhere and went to Shandong, Hunan, Hebei, Jiangsu and other regions in China. He spent a lot of time traveling through China's great rivers and mountains, saw the vast land and treasures of the Chinese nation, broadened his horizons, and enriched his knowledge.
In the process of begging for a long time, Wu Xun found that in the society at that time, there were many people like him who were treated unfairly because they did not have money to go to school and could not read. Wu Xun deeply felt the pain of ignorance, and in order to help these people who shared the same disease, he decided to save up the money he had begged for to start a righteous school.
At the age of 21, Wu Xun officially began to implement his "Righteous Learning Plan". Every time he begged for clothes and food, he would sell them, leaving only his own necessities. His hair had long been dirty and disheveled, his clothes were uncovered, and he looked like a poor beggar.
He worked while begging, running errands and sending letters to others during the day, and sewing twine at night. Sometimes, when Wu Xun's life encounters difficulties and is at a loss, Wu Xun always encourages himself: "Pick up the thread, wrap the thread egg, and concentrate on cultivating a righteous college; Wrap the thread egg, the wiring head, and repair a righteous learning without worrying."
In addition, he will also perform acrobatics in public like an artist in the jianghu. For example, carrying a big ding, breaking the head with a knife, crushing a large stone in the chest, or even swallowing a stone to eat poison and so on. Relying on these juggling skills, he successfully attracted the attention of his guests and received a large amount of handouts from others.
Ten years have passed, and the amount of savings in martial arts training has been very impressive. He wanted to use the money to lend to others to get more profits. In the long run, when Wu Xun was 49 years old, his savings could already buy more than 300 acres of land, and in the society at that time, Wu Xun was already a very rich person.
But he did not choose to enjoy this hard-won hardship, but chose to continue to be a poor beggar.
Determined to devote most of his savings to the construction of the School of Righteousness, Wu Xun traveled everywhere, and finally in 1888, the "Chongxian Yishu" founded by him was successfully established in the area of Liulin Town, Tangyi County. This was the first righteous school he founded, which cost him 30 years of youth and 30 years of hard work.
After the establishment of this righteous school, Wu Xun sincerely invited well-known local literati or scholars to teach at this righteous school and paid them a monthly teaching fee. But students who attend school in this school do not have to pay tuition. All the expenses in the academy are borne by martial arts.
Martial arts training is always extra generous and tolerant to teachers and students, but it is very harsh on themselves. As soon as he had time, he came to visit the academy. Seeing a conscientious and responsible classroom teacher, Wu Xun would always bow his head and express his gratitude. When he sees a teacher who is lazy and negligent, he will also bow down to show a reminder.
Occasionally, when encountering students who are naughty and playful and do not take classes seriously, Wu Xun will kneel in front of the students and cry: "If you don't have to work hard when you read, you won't be able to show up in the future, I'm afraid I won't have the face to go home and see my parents." The students who heard this were ashamed, and they did not dare to slack off in their studies in the future, worked hard and made positive progress.
Seeing that his "Chongxian Yishu" was thriving, The idea of wuxun to establish a righteous school became even stronger. In 1890, Wuxun exchanged with local temples and established a second school of righteousness in the Tateta Prefecture area. Subsequently, in 1896, the third Yixue School was founded in Linqing County.
Wu Xun's whole life has been struggling to establish a righteous school, and he has been overworked for a long time and accumulated fatigue, and at the age of 59, in the righteous school he ran, he left the world with the sound of reading aloud. All the teachers and students in the academy came to mourn him, send him off, and cried.
In the life when Wuxun founded Yixue, he won the love and respect of too many people. After suffering from his own ignorance, he still had hope for the world, and with his own hands, he held up the future of the next generation. In the Qing Dynasty, WuXun was awarded the title of "Righteous Scholar" by the imperial court and was rewarded with a yellow coat. During the Republic of China period, in order to commemorate the martial arts, the "Wugong Memorial Hall" was built for the Linqing area. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, an event was held in Chongqing to commemorate the 107th anniversary of the birth of Wuxun.
At that time, the achievements of WuXun's lifelong righteous learning were officially arranged into the school's textbooks, so that students across the country learned about Mr. Wuxun's example.
Wu Xun relied on his lifelong silent dedication to become the only person who entered Chinese history as a beggar, and the only beggar who was praised as a "silent civilian educator" in the global book "World Education Dictionary".
