About the Author

Chen Bo, researcher, national outstanding contribution expert.

Main research directions: phenolic molding compound and molding, continuous molding, fiber winding, pultrusion, large grid space film radome, PA/PE rotational molding.

He was the director of the mechanical and electrical equipment research office of Beijing 251 Factory (Beijing FRP Research Institute), the secretary general and executive vice president of China Composite Materials Industry Association.

Since 1963, he has been engaged in the research and popularization of glass fiber composite materials, and has made pioneering contributions to the establishment of China's FRP pipe and storage tank industry. Committed to the technological progress of the industry, it has promoted the development of China's FRP/composite material industry since the "Seventh Five-Year Plan".

He is the chief editor of "China FRP Industry Encyclopedia", "FRP Concise Technical Manual" and so on. He has won the national science conference, the national defense science and technology commission, the national major science and technology project award. After retirement, he is still committed to the research and development of new composite material technologies, and exchanges and cooperation with relevant universities and institutes.
