From November 6 to 7, 2021, the Sixth Congress of Hubei Calligraphers Association successfully completed the agenda and closed smoothly in Wuchang under the strong guidance of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, the Propaganda Department of the Hubei Provincial Party Committee of the Communist Party of China, and the Party Group of the Hubei Provincial Federation of Literature and Literature. The conference comprehensively summed up the work achievements of the Fifth Council of the Hubei Provincial Book Association, objectively analyzed the current problems and deficiencies, and clearly put forward the main tasks for the coming period.
Xu Zhengzhong, member of the Standing Committee of the Hubei Provincial CPC Committee and director of the Propaganda Department, Deng Wugui, executive deputy director of the Propaganda Department of the Provincial CPC Committee, Zheng Jun, head of the discipline inspection and supervision group of the Provincial Discipline Inspection Commission and the Propaganda Department of the Provincial CPC Committee, Liu Xinglong, chairman of the Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Deng Changqing, secretary of the party leading group and executive vice chairman of the Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Xiao Weichi, member of the party group and first-level inspector of the Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Ma Shangyun, member of the party group and vice chairman of the Provincial Federation of Literary and Literary Circles, Wang Yongping, member of the party group and vice chairman of the Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and Lei Bo, member of the party group, secretary general, and second-level inspector of the Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and other leaders attended the opening ceremony of the video.
The conference deliberated and adopted the "Work Report of the Sixth Congress of hubei calligraphers association" and "Constitution of Hubei Calligraphers Association (revised draft)", and elected the sixth council and presidium of Hubei Calligraphers Association. Meng Qingxing was elected chairman of the Hubei Provincial Book Association, and Li Jinsong (resident), Zhou Henghua, Ma Wu, Wang Yong, Wu Yongbin, Luo Haidong, Qin Longzhi, Xiao Han, Cheng Xin, Fan Lijie, and Qu Zhongmou were elected as vice chairmen of the Hubei Provincial Book Association. The first meeting of the presidium of the Sixth Hubei Provincial Book Association appointed Li Jinsong as the secretary general of the Hubei Provincial Book Association, and Li Zonghui (resident), Wei Xiaowei, and Liu Guoliang as deputy secretaries-general.
The conference elected Xu Benyi as the honorary chairman of the Sixth Hubei Provincial Book Association, and invited 13 comrades, including Ge Changyong, Zhang Mingming, Xia Qixing, Zhang Tiangong, Wang Jun, Liu Shuilu, Li Guoguang, Wu Zhonghua, Zhang Xiu, Zhou Decong, Tong Dezhao, Hu Shengming, and Chen Xinya, as advisers to the Sixth Hubei Provincial Book Association.
Meng Qingxing, chairman of the Hubei Provincial Book Association, delivered a closing speech. He said: The Propaganda Department of the Hubei Provincial CPC Committee and the Party Group of the Hubei Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles have placed high hopes on the new presidium and council, the vast number of calligraphy workers in Hubei are full of expectations, and all sectors of society are highly concerned. We have the confidence and determination to unite the vast number of calligraphy workers, pool our wisdom, and at the new starting point of work, fulfill our duties and responsibilities, strive to forge ahead, and push the cause of calligraphy in Hubei to a higher and farther level.
