In the vast land of Xinjiang, with the appearance of the new era, it shows the profundity of years and time, and reflects the essence and connotation of the existence of a group independent of the world. When the seasons pass through this land, everything will start and renew with the cycle of reincarnation. Perhaps people will not pay attention to the natural survival of a village, let alone live or stay in this village, because the journey of life will not be tied up by the road under their feet, nor will they stop because of some emotion, which is the meaning of living.
Turpan in Xinjiang is a trace of a thick culture imprinted by history. From here, whether to the east or to the west, it connects the direction of Xinjiang culture, conveys the information of China's ancient civilization, inherits the spark of one era after another, and records the footprints of human activities from generation to generation. Chinese culture, which has taken root here, has bred a unique regional culture while meeting and integrating local and Western cultures, which has become the root system of Chinese culture and makes this ancient land glow with the brilliance of the new era.
The Turpan Basin, under the watering of Chinese civilization, appears to be full of vitality and shine. Once upon a time, during the ancient Western Regions, there were turbulent situations here, wolf smoke and flames, and city-states constantly fought wars of all sizes because of their struggle for territory, expansion of territory and interests. Today, the era of cold weapons has come to an end for a hundred years, the development of the new era is changing with each passing day, and history is buried by the dust of the years, only those ruins and broken walls tell the time of the past.
Approaching the ancient city of Jiaohe in the west of Turpan City, although this ruin has been buried by history, those living beings still continue the blood of their ancestors. In jiaohe town next to the old city, there have been local villagers living for generations, and I think they should have a close connection with the old city, because it has their roots and has been passed down from generation to generation. Despite two thousand years of historical changes, their blood must be flowing with the genes of their ancestors.
The first time I walked into the old city of Jiaohe, I did not have time to enter the village, because I was shocked by the large area of ruins, shocked by the wall in front of me, and the confluence of the two rivers formed a high platform, on which there was a once glorious city pool. I heard that in an ancient tomb inside the ancient city, the bones of some children were excavated, and I can't imagine the tragedy that happened that year, or a war that took their young lives. Therefore, war is the most cruel torture, and it is also the destruction of life.
With grief, I stumbled out of the ruins, as if my heart had been torn apart by a pair of large hands, and my chest was faintly painful, which often woke me up from my dreams. I have consulted a large number of historical materials, I know that from the Han Dynasty to the end of the Yuan Dynasty, after the central government of the Central Plains unified the Western Regions, it experienced struggles with the Xiongnu, Turks, Tubo, etc., and in order to stabilize the entire Western Regions, many generals and benevolent people like Zhang Qian, Ban Chao, Geng Gong, Feng Changqing and other generals and benevolent people dedicated their Shaohua and hard work here. There are also border poets like Cen Shan, who once sympathized with the people's feelings in Jiaohe City and praised the spirit of the Tang Army's generals.
The second time I came to the old city of Jiaohe, I did not have the courage to step into the interior of the ancient city again, standing on the small bridge, quietly looking at this tall ruin, I did not want to remember the past and smoke clouds of this city, I just wanted to pray that those who had long passed away could be comforted in these thousand years. At this time, turning around, I slowly walked into Jiaohe Town, a quiet village, which is a peaceful and prosperous community in Yar Town, Gaochang District, and also a socialist new rural construction project.
At the mouth of the village stands a boulder, on which is written the four words "Jiaohe Town", a wide asphalt road extends into the village, the road surface is very neat, the houses on both sides are also very uniform, all of them are Uyghur residential architectural styles, belonging to the Ayiwang style (meaning bright residence) houses, the layout of each household is similar, all reflect the local ethnic customs.
Wander through the village and meet busy villagers who will smile warmly at you while nodding their heads and greeting you. In fact, Uyghur customs now, if you are acquaintances, you will come forward to hold each other's hands, but when you see strangers, they will smile and nod to represent greetings. If you talk to Chinese, many villagers say that it is still difficult to Chinese. If you meet villagers who often run business outside, their Chinese is very smooth.
The houses in Jiaohe Town, the outer walls are all smeared with yellow grass mud, giving people a vision of vicissitudes and obsolescence. This village is nestled on the jiaohe river, accompanying the old city of Jiaohe for generations, they have only the ancestors to guard and gaze at the relics left by their ancestors, perhaps they can read the language of the ancient city of Jiaohe, and they can hear the call of the depths of history in the dark.
There are large vineyards planted here, every household has a grape drying room, and from July onwards, turpan grapes gradually ripen, as long as you step into this area, you will be greeted by a common aroma. Hospitable local villagers, seeing guests from afar, will warmly greet you to taste grapes or melons. Inadvertently, everyone will be infected by this hospitality, feeling like a prodigal son who has traveled far away to return to his hometown for a long time, and the peaceful and joyful atmosphere suddenly makes people melt into this historical place.
