For more than half a century, the officers and men of this heroic battleship have obeyed the party's command, bathed in blood and sea frontiers, and bravely made miraculous achievements. Deep in the East China Sea, a certain frigate detachment of the Eastern Theater Navy is organizing a fleet of ships to carry out actual combat training.
Tian Xiaokang, captain of the Quanzhou ship of the Navy: The prestige of the "tiger boat on the sea" was forged by the predecessors with blood and sweat, and written with youth and life. The current Quanzhou ship is the fourth generation of "sea tiger boats", officially joined the people's navy battle sequence on August 8, 2014, with a full load displacement of more than 1300 tons, in fact, it has long been out of the concept of "boat", but in order to continue history and inherit the red gene, we still retain the title of "sea tiger boat".
Entering the honor room of the "Tiger Boat on the Sea", there is a treasure of the town hall - a pre-war blood book with "always loyal to Chairman Mao", although the handwriting is somewhat blurred and faded, but it highlights its age and vicissitudes. The owner of this blood letter was Yang Jinxing, a signal soldier who had been awarded the third class merit in the Battle of the East China Sea in Chongwu.

On November 13, 1965, the 588 boats of only 75 tons had just returned from the exercise, and suddenly received a notification from the enemy at a higher level that the 903-ton "Yongtai" and the 945-ton "Yongchang" of the Taiwan Kuomintang Navy were trying to set sail covertly from the Penghu Archipelago and harass the fishing grounds east of Chongwu.

We are 75 tons of high-speed frigates, the maximum speed can reach 32 to 34 knots, we as a surface ship unit, that is, to fight with the enemy.
According to the order of the superior, the 588 boat arrived at the predetermined sea on time after high-speed sailing. At 0:42 p.m. that night, the 588 boat rushed to the 5th chain away from the Kuomintang "Yongchang" and opened fire on the enemy ship; under the fierce bombardment of the artillery fire, the enemy "Yongchang" pilot's bomb explosion began to sink. In that war, the 588 boats became famous in one battle, and a large number of heroic models such as Yang Jinxing and "Little Tiger" Ge Yi emerged. Premier Zhou Enlai specially received the deputies participating in the war at the Jin Jiang Hotel in Shanghai, and Chen Yi and Guo Moruo made a special trip from Beijing to comfort the officers and men of the ship.
Today's Quanzhou ship, the hull number is still 588, belongs to the domestic 056 type missile frigate, is a type of light missile frigate with a certain degree of low detectability, with strong air defense, anti-submarine and anti-ship capabilities, mainly responsible for coastal defense combat tasks. The officers and men of the whole ship always regard the fierce tiger spirit of their predecessors as an example to learn from, and vow to be the new generation of the tiger boat; during a mission, the main engine of the Quanzhou ship suddenly broke down, the oil sliding rushed out of the pipeline, and Han Jianting, the captain of the engine and a member of the Communist Party, risked his life and was the first to rush into the main engine cabin for emergency repairs.
Han Jianting, captain of the Navy's Quanzhou ship, said: At that time, I was covered in black oil, my eyes were invisible, my ears were buzzing, and if a fragment of a pipe hit me, I might have died, because the power was very large, even more than the power of a grenade. Later, someone asked me if I was afraid at that time, frankly, there was no time to think about that, as a party member, it was an instinct for me to be at the forefront and rush to the front.
Han Jianting boldly eliminated the dangerous situation of failure, ensured the smooth completion of the follow-up tasks of the Quanzhou ship, and in the daily training, he also practiced the excellent skills of "one touch, one hear, one smell", and successfully eliminated hundreds of turbine failures.
