Hongxue Karma Chart

After receiving the "Hongxue Karma Map", I collected relevant information about its version on the Internet. Sina Network Qiran Zhai Lord's blog caused me to sigh, I lamented that I did not have the wealth of qiran Zhai Lord, and I had not encountered the same luck as him: when he had not yet taken off the vest of a book collector, he actually received three versions of the "Hongxue Karma Map" published by the Qing Dynasty, and also found two stereotypes!

Gone are the golden days of ancient books, and all I can do is collect information online about the current market prices of the book's editions.

The author of the "Hongxue Karma Map" is Yan Linqing, the number of the pavilion, the Manchu yellow flag people, the descendants of the Jurchen people. Throughout his life, his career was smooth, his political achievements were outstanding, and he was deeply used by the emperor because of his meritorious efforts in controlling water. Lin Qing's lifelong eunuchs all over the world, all of them like mountains and rivers, they all come everywhere they go, they keep their minds in mind, they live idly, and in the way of self-narration of their lives, they completed the "Hongxue Karma Map", recording what they have seen and heard in their lives, and boasting that "this is my chronology and do not create a gram." After the article was written, the famous Yangzhou painters Wang Yingfu (Zi Chunquan), Chen Jian (Zi Lang Zhai), and Wang Xi (Zi Ti Zhai) were invited to draw a travel map according to the title, one note for each thing, one picture per note, a total of 240 articles and 240 frames of figures, and this book was synthesized.

The "Hongxue Karma Map" is rich in content, mainly in four aspects: First, the travelogue of scenic spots. Because the author's extensive and literary knowledge, sexual pleasure travel, the wonders of the mountains and rivers, the differences in folk customs, and even the Daoli, shape, historical sites, terroir, river defense, water conservancy, all have it. Remembering the scenic scenery of the West Lake, the tide of the Qiantang River, the sunrise of Taishan, the Jiazhi of Taoyuan, the hanging waterfall of Shiliang, and the plum blossom peach of Xixi are all timeless prose. Second, the Kyoto Chronicle. Since the author's childhood, youth, and later years were spent in Kyoto with his family, the first episode has "Kunming Wangchun", "Ermu Xiuyu", "Tanzhu Searching for Autumn", and "Lugou Riding". The third episode, "Jin'ao Guili", records many of the famous historical sites of the Beijing Division. Third, officialdom. Linqing eunuchs traced Kyoto, the north and south of the great river, and the southwest of Guizhou, and many military and political observations were recorded in the book. Fourth, manchu customs. Linqing grew up in a Manchurian family, familiar with Manchurian traditional culture, and is also tolerant of the profound Han culture.

Because of this, Zheng Zhenduo once annotated this book in the "Historical Outline of Ancient Chinese Woodcuts", saying that it "recounted his life with pictures, which was very wonderfully carved, and could examine the actual situation of life at that time." The "Hongxue Karma Map" has three episodes, and the volume is the most vast. The "Important Bibliography of Chinese Printmaking Research" and other books also include this book.

In the final Qing Dynasty, the "Hongxue Karma Map" was published twice:

1. Gusu version

Carved by Linqing's protégé Kingdom In the eighteenth year of Daoguang, the scroll has "Gusu Wu Qingxia Zhai Bureau Carving", the plaque is recorded as "Pengshu Winter Daily, Yunyintang Hidden Plate", only the first collection and the second collection are published, the first collection was published in the nineteenth year of Daoguang, with the preface of Ruan Yuan, Qi Liaozao, Lang Baochen, and Zhong Shiyao, and the second collection was published in the twenty-first year of Daoguang, with the prefaces of Jin Anlan, Gong Zizhen, Zhao Tingxi, Shi Mingjian and others, and this journal has not been passed down much. This time, because the pattern was too exquisite, Wang Guozuo did not find a good job for a while, so he only published the engraved text, not the picture.

Since it is rare to see a book, it is not known what its current price is.

In the twenty-seventh year of Daoguang, after Linqing's death, his son began to find a good job in Yangzhou, and re-carved all the contents, including words and pictures, which were published in the twenty-ninth year of Daoguang. This time Fu Zi, the text, pictures, periodicals, printing are excellent, so it has become one of the representative works in the mid-Qing Dynasty family engravings, and the difference from the first edition is that the Daoguang Twenty-Ninth Edition has an additional third episode, and each episode is divided into two volumes, from the age of 40 to 40 for the first set, the 40 to 50 years old for the second episode, the 50 to 55 years old for the third episode, each episode of 80 articles, figure 80 frames, the plaque is recorded as "Daoguang Ding WeiQiu in July re-carved in Yangzhou". At the beginning of the first episode, the orders of Pan Shi'en and Xu Nai were added, followed by the orders of Ruan Yuan, Qi Liaozao, Lang Baochen, and Zhong Shiyao, which were the owners in the first edition. The third episode not only has the addition of Ming Lun, Ruan Heng, and Li Zhaozhi, but also a small portrait of Lin Qing's fifty-three years old painted by He Shikui. Nguyen Heng said in the preface: "Mr. Changbai Lin sees the pavilion, the name of the scholar, the court and the public, and the people are pleased." Try to paint him from childhood to forty years old as a volume of pictures, known as the first collection, Qi Chunpu Xiangguo, Lang Sumen Fangbo and Taifu brothers. From the age of forty to fifty for a volume of figures, two episodes, Zhao Youlan observation, Jin Yingxian Sima and Gong Ding's ren order, this can be described as the fate of the ear. From the age of fifty to fifty-five, there is a volume of figures and three episodes. ”

At an auction last year, the version started at a price of 300,000 yuan, and as for who will spend it later, the price of the auction is unknown. However, there are occasional loose copies of the hole net that sell for 15,000 to 30,000 yuan a volume, and the price of 15,000 yuan is a fragment of a product with extremely poor phase, water stains, and made of gold and jade.
