Each actor has a painful audition experience that reminds them of how they seized that opportunity when they first became stars. The list goes on and on. In Philharmonic City, emma Stone's character shows us the process. Mahesara Hashbaz Ali in Moonlight Boy, for example, showed "the ability to beat 'Philharmonic City' in the Oscar competition" in the talk show. Of course, he also had the experience of messing up the Audition for Game of Thrones because he was sitting in the wrong chair.
But at least, a bad audition isn't a public event, which means that most of the average viewer will never see how you self-destruct your image during an audition. Or at least, none of these were made public until youtube came along. Let's dig it up together.
Chris Klein, "Mamma Mia"
We'll start with the proverbial bad audition experience. Chris Klein's performance in the audition for Mamma Mia wasn't enough to ruin the film — in fact it only ruined Chris's own image — but if he was selected, it would have changed the whole story in some way. In his version, it became clear that the character, played by Dominique Cooper, would eventually be portrayed by him as a particularly calm, overconfident, and slender serial killer, like the Mandy Moore upper body version. To be honest, that sounds better.
Brad Pitt, "Fiery Ambition"
When Brad Pitt auditioned for the role of Brian Mccaffrey in Ron Howard's Fiery Ambitions, he felt as if he were in another world. In that world, Brian Mccaffrey was like a cowboy wandering away from outer space, and on his shoulders stood like an invisible goblin giving him an inscription, and some words popped out of his mouth that he didn't understand. In this episode of "Fire Ambition", it seems that even if everything is burned out, Brian Mccaffrey will still stand in the fire and blink his eyes.
Scarlett Johansson, The Brave's Game
Scarlett Johansson is one of the best actresses. However, this is not always the case. While auditioning for the role of Kirsten Dunster in Brave's Game, Johnson created a weird image of Charlie Browns. "I have $67,80," she said in a way that makes you feel as if she's missing a football game she wants to play. If she had gotten the role, the scene in "The Brave Character" would have had one scene in which she walked slowly down the street, with lions chasing her in the back, and the background music was "Christmas time is here."
Matthew Fox, Lost
Jack, played by Matthew Fox, is superb. In interpreting the treacherous protagonist in Lost, his performance involves just the right amount of brain emptying. But he also tried the rhetorical liar James Ford character during the audition. This audition was not good at all. His performance is not as succinct as Josh Hallowe's, Fox's James Ford feels like he's nervous about being placed in the wrong position, and his head is unlikable. In fact, Fox brought these traits to the role of the series killer played in Alex Cross in 2012, and you didn't see it just because life was short and not worth wasting time on these movies.
Julia Roberts, Seven Minutes of Heaven
Although this was Jennifer Connery's earliest work, Seven Minutes of Heaven is still a bad film. Perhaps, the reason Julia Roberts didn't get the role of Connery was because she didn't realize it. Her audition process is fraught with slow-paced resentment and apparent irony, and in the finale, each actor looks a little rambling and rogue, as if they were just reading the lines from a distant inscription card. Julia Roberts didn't play because she pushed too hard, but she did.
Meryl Streep, King Kong
Finally, there's Meryl. Although no video of the audition was recorded, it was a story she had told herself. That was in the 1970s. Meryl auditioned for King Kong to compete for the role of Jessica Langer. The audition was conducted in the cheesy office of producer Dino de Laurentis. Meryl went into the room. Dino de Laurentis immediately said in Italian: "She's so ugly." Meryl answered him in Italian, letting him know he could understand what he was saying. The truth is that only those who are stupid will laugh at Meryl.
