Of course, this is just a myth in the Bible, but in Wyoming, there is indeed a natural landscape that resembles the Tower of Babel, which looks like a huge tower with the upper part cut off.
For a long time, the origin of this mysterious landscape was not known, and some even believed that it was the legendary Tower of Babel that led to heaven.
Because of its peculiar shape and mysterious origin, people gave it a terrifying name, called "Devil's Tower".
According to geologists, the Devil's Tower has been more than 50 million years old, the diameter of its bottom is about 305 meters, the diameter of the top is only about 85 meters, and the overall height is about 256 meters, although it does not look very tall, but in the past, less than 100 people can successfully climb to the top of the Devil's Tower, and the summit rate is only a pitiful 0.2%!
Doesn't that sound incredible? So why is it so difficult to "conquer" such a low Devil's Tower?
In fact, this is related to the special structure of the Devil's Tower.
Devil's Tower is different from other mountains, it is almost all vertical between the whole and the ground, which is very difficult for the average amateur climber, but for the master, the vertical mountain is still difficult for them.
However, devil's tower has another feature, that is, its surface hardly has any point of force. Due to the erosion of wind and rain for many years, its surface is very smooth, and the soil is also very loose, even if it relies on tools, it can only climb to a height of more than ten meters at most, and it is difficult to reach the top.
So, how did such an abrupt "tower" come about?
Some believe that the Devil's Tower is an abandoned secret base left by aliens on Earth, and when aliens visited Earth, they used this place as their place to dock their spaceships. However, because the existence of aliens has still not been confirmed, this claim does not convince everyone.
The prevailing view in the scientific community is that devil's tower may have come from a volcanic eruption. At that time, the magma under the ground did not successfully erupt, but only sprayed to the height of the cave entrance, and then slowly cooled down at the mouth of the cave, and then after thousands of years of evolution, it finally became what it is today.
