據外媒報道，第57屆格萊美音樂獎提名在美國當地時間5日早上開始陸續揭曉，美國歌手法瑞爾·威廉姆斯（pharrell williams）、碧昂斯（beyoncé）、英國歌手創作型男歌手薩姆·史密斯（sam smith）和音樂母帶工程師（tom coyne）大獲全勝，獲得多項提名。
創作型歌手薩姆·史密斯（sam smith）、梅根·特瑞娜（meghan trainor），美國鄉村、流行音樂歌手泰勒·斯威夫特（taylor swift），澳洲女歌手sia、饒舌歌手伊基·阿賽莉娅（iggy azalea）獲得年度最佳唱片（record of the year）提名，此外，smith和azalea還獲得最佳新人提名。
在最佳流行演唱專輯獎方面，薩姆·史密斯（sam smith）的英國老鄉艾德·希蘭（ed sheeran）依靠第二張個人大碟《x》獲得提名，與此同時，酷玩樂隊（cold play）的最新大碟《ghost stories》、阿麗亞娜·格蘭德(ariana grande)的《my everything》，麥莉（miley cyrus）的《bangerz》以及水果姐凱蒂·佩裡(katy perry)的《prism》均在提名名單當中。
與往年相比，今年格萊美提名公布的形式略有不同，年度最佳專輯獎将在當地時間晚9點至10點間舉行的“格萊美聖誕特别節目”中單獨公布。
