描金又稱泥金畫漆，是一種傳統工藝美術技藝。起源于戰國時期，在漆器表面，用金色描繪花紋的裝飾方法，常以黑漆作地，也有少數以朱漆為地，也有把描金稱做“描金銀漆裝飾法”的。
底部落款大清乾隆年制六字款，圈足胎質細膩，為罕見的糯米胎，最早稱之為“糯米汁胎”是形象描述胎體的質感，如同糯米經水磨後流出的米漿一般細膩、光滑。後被稱為糯米胎，此胎極其細膩，是瓷石經過多次提煉極其細膩後才有的極品瓷胎，這種瓷胎輕扣聲音清脆悅耳，胎質緊密，較一般瓷器硬度要高，抗熱漲冷縮能力強，很多瓷器經曆上百年時間就會自然的幹裂，我們成為陰裂現象，與窯裂不同，是後期形成的，而糯米胎瓷器就不會出現這種問題，由于瓷土極其細膩，也不會出現棕眼的現象，是美瓷的重要要素。
這是一件描金胭脂盒，上圖人物頭帶鬥笠，身穿和服，顔色鮮明，遠景庭樓閣宇，小橋流水，近景人物之間互相傳神，聚氣在小孩處，整體錯落有緻，微中見大，十分耐賞！
