Abstract:The basic principle of Fourier transform and properties of it are briefly described in this paper. The properties include scale transform ,frequency shifs, time-domain convolution theorem, symmetry and time-domain differentiation. The theory of periodic rectangular signal's decomposition and composition is also described in this paper. This paper has designed its simulation software using MATLAB7.6 graphical user interface (GUI), and has made the analysis to the simulation result, which is consistent with the theoretical analysis. MATLAB GUI is simple and intuitive. The complex mathematics knowledge is not needed in it's application and the parameter is optical, which have demonstrated the advantages of the applications of MATLAB GUI in teaching the course of Signals and Systems.
