How to test a MOSFET using a multimeter easily?

如何使用萬用表測試一個mosfet的完好性？

在實際的實驗過程中，我們難免會碰到MOSFET疑似損壞的情況，此時則需要對MOSFET進行檢查。

在檢查工作前開始前，請先确認MOSFET的G、D、S級。

In our daily experiment procedure, you mightinevitably encounter a situation where you suspect your MOSFET were in a badcondition. At this point you may need to test your MOSFET.

Before the test starts, make sure you findout the Gate, Drain and Source terminals on your MOSFET.

器具：

萬用表一個、待測MOSFET

Appliance:

One multimeter, MOSFET(to be tested).

檢查步驟：

Test Procedure:

1.    是否短路  Shorten?

（1）萬用表調至二極管導通檔、正極接MOSFET的D級，負極接S級。若是短路萬用表應有提示音。正常情況應無提示音。

Put your multimeter into a Diode-TestingMode first. Then put your positive lead to the Drain and negative lead to the Source.If the MOSFET is shorten, you’ll hear the notice sound ‘Di’. There should be noconnection if it works normally.

2. 導通狀态是否正常 OnState?

（1）萬用表調至二極管導通檔，負極接S級，正極先輕觸G級，接着接D級，正常萬用表應提示連通。此時MOSFET類似電容，被充電。

Put your multimeter into a Diode-TestingMode first. Put the negative lead to the Source, touch the Gate briefly with thepositive lead then put it to the Drain. And there should be a connection afteryou put it back to the Drain. At this time the MOSFET works as a capacitor, we actuallycharge the capacitor.

（2）手指觸碰G級和D級，連在一起，使其放電。随後使用負極接S，正極接D時則不提示連通，則為正常。

Touch the Gate and the Drain with yourfinger, connecting them together and making it discharging. Put the negative leadto the Source, and put the positive lead to the Drain. Then there should be noconnection to the Drain the Source now.
