both, either和neither
1.both指兩個人或事物，在句中作主語、賓語、定語、同位語。如：
Both she and her husband worked hard for ten years in order to pay off the debts.
I asked both to take part in the activity.
Both answers are right.
My parents are both teachers.
They both swim well.
both常與and連用，連接配接兩個并列成分。both與not連用，表示部分否定。如：
Both his mother and his father will be there.
Both of them haven't seen / Not both of them have seen the new film. (= Only one of them has seen the new film.)
2.either兩者中的任何一個，在句中可作主語、賓語或定語。如：
Either is OK.
You may take either of the seats.
There are tall trees on either side / both sides of the road.
either常與or連用，構成并列連詞。如連接配接的兩個成分作主語，謂語動詞采用就近一緻原則。如：
Either you or I am right.
Either you or she has taken away my dictionary.
either也可用作副詞，在否定句中常位于句末，表示“也”。如：
He doesn't like physics and I don't like it, either.
either在句中作主語時，謂語動詞用單數。如：
Either of the two brothers likes playing football.
3.neither兩者都不，它是both的完全否定形式，在句中作主語、賓語、定語。如：
Neither is correct.
I like neither of them.
Neither side will win.
neither在句中作主語時，謂語動詞需用第三人稱單數。如：
Neither of us has been to America.
neither與nor構成并列連詞，表示“既不......也不......”之意。若連接配接成分作主語，應根據就近一緻原則來确定謂語動詞的形式。如：
Neither Miss Li nor I am willing to do the job.
neither用也可表示“也不”，位于句首，後面用倒裝句。如：
I haven't been to America; neither has my wife.
